Greatsword56, I agree. Whenever I get the chance to have my quiet time, that's what I do is game. I'm definitely a gamer; but with a 40/week day job, a club dj on the weekends (all 3 nights), a 6 month old son, a small business owner, I barely clock any real time on my games. I get the games that I want on drop day; but, some never get any clock unless I'm able to duck the world for a few minutes. I'm still lookin' for time to really get into GTA 4 & RE5 (as examples).
I guess if I had more time to do it, I could be a . . . . nah. That's a lie! Life's good, & so is my son, family, money I make, 2nd profession, beautiful women, the outdoors . . . . . . I just get it in where I can. That's why I still have about 8-9 games that have yet to be played! LOL I definitely collect.
The pc does look real smooth. However, bein' a PS3 owner, the graphics on my tv are nowhere near fuzzy like they are on here, & I own all of these games in question. However, all-in-all, it's all about preference, regarding the system choice.
Ratnutz14, I agree on the bias; but, it's not just GS. Even when I watch X-Play on G4, it's kinda slanted. It's just the industry. That's where "liking what you like" comes in. As far a major contrast of a multi-plat game? Madden 2008 was THAT severe contrast! On the 360, it was well worth the money. On the PS3 version that I got stiffed for, not only does it suck, but I couldn't get a thing for it, on the trade in, a week after it was released. That's where personal system preference comes in. Because, although no major graphic differences are as evident as last year's Madden, there's not much separating them, graphically. Now, memory & features are a completely different story. But, game-wise, it's all kinda in the middle.
I have about 33 games for the PS3, & saw a few on the 360 that look phenomenal. It's personal preference as to which system you want to own. I PERSONALLY prefer the Sony system, & no, they didn't pay me to say it! LOL I've also enjoyed games on the 360, too, even though I never bought the system. Yeah, the 360 has more games (based on a 365 day jump in the marketplace), & they have some phenomenal games with great graphics. & No, Microsoft didn't pay me to say that, either! LOL Now that the graphics race is much tighter between the 2, let's focus on the designers. Can I get another 2k NFL game, or another 2k College Hoops game?!?!?!!? LOL
From what I'm seein' in these latest screen comparisons, it's a matter of personal preference, as to what system you'd buy. Although, the PS3 screens look a little richer in color, the 360 has a very nice detail, even despite the hazy look. Yeah, I own a PS3, but I'm a gamer. If the 360 had more exclusive titles that were tough, along the lines of the GOW & Halo series, I'd buy 1, too. However, if you wait long enough, most titles come to the PS3 eventually, & with more content, because those games are rebuilt on the PS3 hardware. I really wish they'd change their mind on Left 4 Dead. lol
