My 3DS Wants

The 3DS has generated much interest and news, as it is the newest Nintendo portable gaming system, and of course Nintendo fans have high expectations. Is it just another, slightly improved DS, like the DS Lite, DSi, and DSi Extra Large? The main focus on it is the new 3D function of course, hence its name, but we have yet to see the specs of it, to determine if the graphics and depth of games (more content because of more memory, etc.) will be improved. Here are some things that I hope, and want, and maybe some other people want as well for the 3DS: 1) Media player: This is an absolute must, it's very simple and easy, and yet heightens the value and entertainment factor of a gadget massively. Basically every electronic device has mp3 playback support, Phones, Portable Game systems (PSP), even toasters! Well, not toasters maybe, but you get my point, we have to be able to listen to mp3s with a 3DS too. While in all honesty, the 3DS will SURELY make millions of dollars in profit for Nintendo, and adding a media player wouldn't make a difference in profit for them, we as consumers would highly enjoy and appreciate a media player for the DS. Why AAC files? Who even has those files? The majority use MP3s, so why AAC, if you're gonna add a music function, do it right, for the masses! I'd be impressed if it were a comprehensive media player, playing FLAC and other things, and videos as well, but I don't think this'll happen. The problem about Nintendo is that it doesn't offer variety or try to compete with other non-gaming-oriented devices or the market, so it falls short in some areas, Nintendo focuses on the 'gaming' part, which is good, but they need to add better functions, not just adding kiddy gimmicks that only appeal to kids or moms of kids, like the tiny, bad quality cameras the DSi uses. 2) Better graphics: I'd like to see graphics of PS2/Xbox quality at least, get with the times Nintendo! 3) Better cameras, if you're gonna put a camera on the 3DS, make it so it's actually worth putting on there! Actual cameras are at least 8 mega pixels, the DSi's camera is a mere 1.3 mega pixels. The 3DS is priced higher than a lot of cheap cameras, and even the cheapest camera out there has at least 8 mega pixels these days! 4) Better Wi-Fi support. The Wii can connect to DNS-enable security-enabled routers, the DS has to too.
