Now first, I shall now tell you that I WASNT born here.

I was born in Lismore, NSW, then moved to Casino, NSW, then I moved to Mackay QLD, then Rockhampton QLD and I now live at.......in QLD....

BUNDABERG! :D

Bundaberg is a great place.
We have a zoo, called the Alexandra park & Zoo. The animals: include a few wallabies, a peacock, a peahen, turkeys, emus,birds, birds and did I mention birds? :| :P
And there is also an Ostrich! :D
I rmember when the Emus were just babies! There was a naming competition, but I didn't win :(
oh well :P
AND THIS IS NOT A PETTING ZOO! :x
I mean, petting a ostrich? No way!
Oh, except when the Petting FARM comes! Then you can have fun with guinea pigs and such.

Then there is the Botanical gardens, its has the usuals. Japanese gardens, desert garden, bridges, water,turtles, ducks, ibis'. But this place also has an Aviation Centre! And bert Hinkler's house! And a train! :o
Also, there's this old old place, with the old fashioned books, fridges, washing, school rules, man it was harsh rules back then! :o

Then, the twothings Bundaberg is famous for. Ginger Beer and Rum.

The Rum Distillery has a tour of the place, a gift shop, and that polar bear! :o
*hasn't been there* :| :P

The Bundy Barrel is home of Bundaberg Ginger beer. It has gifts, nifty stuff to play with, and ginger beer! Duh! :P

If you happen to stay there, I highly reccomend to go to one of the motels, i shall not mention due to stalkers :|
Cause my mum works there :P

Also, our main animal is the turtle.
So, if you go to Mon repos at the right time of the season, you can see some turtles! :D
Oh, and don't forget to visit Bagara, Childers, and The Hummock, our inactive volcano! :D

Now, Oprah Winfrey recently announced that she, her audience, and John Travolta are coming here to Australia.
Which is why I want to bring this up :|

When toursits come, they want to pet a koala, feed a kangaroo, walk over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and meet Russell Crowe. *chuckle*
Actually Russell is really from New Zealand, but he has a house here :|

But us Australians don't seem to do much.

I'm stuck in school for another,4 years, I get a job, go to univeristy, become a vet. I have NO time to go travelling across my home.
Sure, I've been to Brisbane and Sydney, Gympie and Maryborough, Australia Zoo and the Gold Coast, making me a tourist, but that was when I was little, I hardly remember a thing!

The only thing I remember is Steve Irwin feeding the crocs!

I only saw a kangaroo 6 times in my lifetime, 2 wallabies, 1 koala, zero platypus', zero echidnas, a few little fairy penguins, some Australian fish, a whole heap a crocs and snakes at Snakes Downunder *its close okay? :P* and most of that was in Sydney Aquarium! Except the snakes part :P

My mum, when she was young, go to travel all over, especially at Uluru and Coober pedy, living underground and searching for opals, but that was when life was life, not everything costed so much! You had time!

But now, thats fading away. Jobs, family, traffic, bills, taxes, food, drinks, a home, its all too hard!

Why can't I go on holidays? ;cry:

And I haven't even been overseas! :(
