Its ANZAC Day today. Its a national day of rememberance in Australia & New Zealand.ANZAC stands for Australian And New Zealand Army Corps. Today we honour the members who fought in Gallipoli in WW1. Anzac Day was first commemorated at the Australian War Memorial in 1942, but, due to government orders preventing large public gatherings in case of Japanese air attack, it was a small affair and was neither a march nor a memorial service. Anzac Day has been annually commemorated at the Australian War Memorial ever sinceMany died, surived and fought in the war. It was a sad moment, with war veterans still imagining war horror in flashbacks. Poppies make us remember this day. Its a public holiday, but today is Sunday, so tomorrow there will be no school or work. Expect some certain work areas. At school on Friday, we had a ceremony, with my friend singing a song about Flanders Fields. The Aus flag was at half mast, saddeining poems were told, and the trumpet blew. We stood, lokked at the ground for a moment *Usually a min* to remember the destuction, heroes, death and peace. I did it yet again today, and I shall tomorrow. This sad day, is not to be really happy about, but its just to remember the heroes, even those that lied about their age becuase they were too young.
Lest We Forget. :)
Q. Even though Australia accepts many religions, which is its main religion?
