On Thursday we discussed that TV is too violent for kids.

For or against.

I was against.

Now, I LOVE writing these types of things! :D
So, if you don't mind, I'm gonna share it to you.........if you care.

NOTE: This in my opinion. No harse comments please.

TV IS NOT TOO VIOLENT FOR KIDS

Television. Everyone has heard of it. Unfortunately, everyone has heard of violence too. As the years come, more and more kids rely on tv, which I find pretty depressing. I am here to discuss how tv is not too violent for kids.

Now, parents enjoy watching tv. Especially shows that kids aren't mature enough to watch, like Supernatural and Criminal Minds. But if a mother sits on the lounge and eating with their kids, watching these types of shows, that's a pretty lousyy way of childhood. Kids are meant to be happy and playful while exploring the world, Not crouched up in their beds, remembering the horror they saw on screen. If people think that tv is too violent for kids, they are wrong. If you hear on the news that a child killed someone because they thought it was cool on tv, that's pretty sad. But who let's them watch these shows? Parents. Minors shouldn't be watching murders, crimes, ghosts or stuff like that. Don't blame the child if they are scarred for life after watching a rape on City Homicide. Blame the parents/guardians for not caring.

Secondly, violence is everywhere. In Roadrunner and Coyote, Wil.E.Coyote falls of a cliff numerous times. Plankton gets squashed on Spongebob Squarepants. On Adventure Time, Finn & Jake battle the Ice King. These are all shows made for kids. Violence on cartoons are usually to show humour, mistakes, irony, how to defend yourself, and to show you right from wrong. To teach us a lesson. Don't plan a scheme to steal a secret formula. Don't kidnap girls. Don't rely on 1 animal for food. Miight as well not even buy the corrupt tv if you don't want children to observe violence. See? It's normal to see violence in some parts of our lives, whether it be humourous or terrifying. If parents arent happy, turn off the television! Violence is everywhere, get used to it.

Finally, kids are responsible, understanding and kind, especially girls. They have the right to watch the favourite shows, whether it be Pokemon, Invader Zim, The Fairly OddParents, Scooby-Doo or Phineas & Ferb. Even shows like that have violence in them in some point of time. Most of the kids popuation understand between right and wrong and won't re-enact a bashing. I'm sure that if a group of kids watches an episode of The Powerpuff Girls, they won't bash up their neighbour thinking he's Mojo Jojo. They're kids, not killers! If only one child is abusing another child, having to be inspired by a tv show, doesn't mean the show should get banned, leaving youths to cry over their favourite show.
We'd be living in a monotonous life without cartoons with the lowest level of violence that would get parents mad with angry letters to the creator/channel.

People all over the world say that kids RELY on tv, for shows like Blue's Clues and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. That they're last resource on education is from technology. Whatever happened to school? I didn't rely on videogames or tv for my education and growing up. People think that kids can't SURVIVE without tv. Grow up people.Once upon a time tv never existed. Kids still managed to grow up, right? Parents can just turn off the tv and keep the remote out of children's hands if they don't want them to a show that has violence in it, which is in nearly every single program showed. Let them play outside.Think about it!

Now, we all know that parents are too blame for a violent tv show being shown to them in front of their eyes, kids have rights and and violence is everywhere. There are simple solutions to this problem if people THINK that there is too much violence on television. Draw! Read a book! Play outside! Focus on the more important things in the world, like the Japanese disaster that happened recently, getting Australia a Decent video game rating system, or war.

Now, that was my opinion. I hope stuff I added in their won't get me banned.:?

MY OPINION.:P

First persuasive exposition, so if I did it wrong, I'm sorry!
