Hello! First week of school has been great! Yes, I'm going to talk about school. Don't groan, because groaning sounds very odd.
On the first day we all headed to the hall to meet the new prinicipal and to see which RAS classes got split up. RAS is a mixed class of grades where we do activities and hear the notices. It lasts for about 25 minutes. Our RAS classes was splitting up because of our lack of enrolled numbers. We lost some amazing teachers because of the student population, which is stupid. My RAS class got split up, which I was okay with. I disliked many of the teenagers that were in my previous class. In my new class I recognised a few acquaintances and 2 friends. But the teacher is one of the most horrible teachers from history. I know this from experience a few years back. I'd rather not explain though. We recieved our timetables along with school diaries and headed off to our designated classes.
That was the first day. I met a new friend and spent some time with a few mates of mine that have suffered drastically from the floods, but they were happy and gleeful. I also helped my neighbour around the school, as she is new to this particular high school we attend to. She didn't like her old school so she decided to go to mine. The school were donated abosolute bucketloads of food for flood victims but they need to get rid of it as most of it is fruit and it may be rotten within a few days, so everyone is allowed to take some. Food such as kiwi fruit, huge apples, cookies, chocolate slices, bananas, grapes, peaches, plums, biscuits, scones, sponge rolls and water bottles have been offered and taken. I took a packet of sponge rolls to share but then I decided to give them to one of my buddies. Well, he said he was hungry. When he opened it I took two sponge rolls anyway. :P I've been taking some apples, grapes, slices and cookies. I keep forgetting to bring my own water so I took some water bottles. Due to the current flood disaster (which everyone now refers to as 'last week') the water bubblers are unsafe to drink due to the sweage. Two of them have tank water proivded but it still tastes odd so people take the fresh water bottles instead! :D
I have 6 subjects this year. I have OP English, Maths A, Drama, Film, Television and New Media, Art and Ancient History. I did have a spare study lesson but they made that a fourth Maths lesson this term, which shall be switched to an extra English lesson next term. :x I think we are being rushed into learning more because of the curriculum. I don't know, I blame everything on Campbell Newman these days. :P There are now detours to North (where my school is) WHICH TAKE FOREVER. because the police guide cars letting some cars in and out etc. I'm sure you would have some sort of idea if you have plenty of experience on the road. The detour exists because the main bridge I take to go to school, has a giant hole in it due to 'last week'. There is also a destroyed road on the way I take to GO HOME so I'm going to have a torublesome relationship with those roads for a very long time. Even worse, I take a bus home and I guess the student's parents are sick of driving their kid to school due to the detour giving them frustration and anger because THE BUS IS NOW SO FULL I ALWAYS HAVE TO STAND UP. I miss sitting down. :(
Good news on the flood situation! My grandparents have been given a home to stay at! I got my room back! Bad news, it's going to be taken again for one night or so. My cousin's band No Right Turn is coming to town and they need a place to stay so.......why not our house? I forgot to mention that my Aunt and Uncle came here to help out with the floods and with my grandparents and they are still staying here for the meantime. A few days ago there was this charity cricket game nearby with The Army and SES ( think????) and at the end there was fireworks easily visible from my house! They were so close and pretty! :)
I need a get a job really badly or an extremely rich friend. Why? I want to go on this ski trip excursion but it costs about thirteen thousand dollars. I've never experienced snow and it starts around June (or July?) so I have to hurry up and submit my resumes everywhere. Oh, did you hear about that new Xbox console apparently will disallow second-hand games to due activation codes and required internet connection? I'm sorry but that's a load of fishpaste. My Dad said it should be illegal. :|
Goodbye! I apologise for the lack of humor and how large this text is, so here's a picture!
