This is and will be the first meaningful blog ive done in what feels like ages. I gave up on writing these things because it seemed like no one cared to read but a few close friends. Friends whom keep in regular contact and know what is on the up and up. I have alot of upcoming plans that require alot of time and energy, and as it seems most of you are too busy with your own lives to care, this will be your template on what is now, and what will be later.
First, what has been going on....
The good.... (Shorter list, Check)
Ash came down for 2 weeks on vacation after finishing her first degree in Web design. She has decided to continue to finish a second degree in graphic design. It will take about another year of school, but that pales in comparison to having to start from scratch. I bought her a Wacom pad for graduation (For those of you out of the know, that's a Tablet that allows you to draw in Photoshop etc, very $$$). She recently also purchased a new Notebook and has been struggling with the pains of Windows Vista. I will say though, in all my experience so far with the OS, her machine runs it better then any ive seen so far, almost like butter. A resent destion against moving my department's base of operations from our 5th floor desk area, to a trailer located on the lot was decided in favor of us. A few Exec's got a wild hair up their ass and wanted my department moved off the corporate building to a shack somewhere near the area oceans 13 was filmed, however our CEO made the terms plain that the exec's department budget would have to overhaul the triple-wide trailer to support the resources that my department needs to function. Needless to say, the cheap-ass's didn't want to flip the bill, so we are in place for the time being. Timmy returned from Jon's new home in Kansas with pictures, which I will post soon. Ashley starts her new job as a Barista soon near her house in a coffee house until school finishes or finds a position closer to her field of study. The patio was overhauled, and a new pool was setup, as you can see in the pictures, which has been a lifesaver this summer. Timmy will be returning to the Art institute soon to finish his degree, and hopefully find local work. I also will be consolidating my student loans, and later continuing school somewhere else. I just purchased a new guitar, a Steve Vai JEM 555, used. I didn't post the pictures form the EBay seller because their not very good, but the guitar arrives tomorrow and ill post some then. From what the pictures showed it is like new. For the price it was a steal, even if the body was defective somehow, id swap the DiMarzio Evo's into my RGEX4.
The Bad... (Reality, Check. Slap in the face, Check.)
Seems to me everyone is too busy with their own lives to give a **** about anyone else's, which doesn't always include me in wanting to be acknowledged and etc. Everyone seems distant and well quite frankly rather moody. Some have almost disappeared entirely. Mike is always unavailable, either out with Carmen, or wasted with his group of card game alcoholics. That's all fine and dandy, but returning calls once in awhile would be nice. Unfortunately me and Timmy seem to be at the bottom of the list. Seems to me if were not rambling on about yu-gi-oh were not of any interest anymore. Life and adventure seem out the window, but that's already a dead horse we've beat for months now. His birthday was this week, not a invite or anything, oh well. Klix has disappeared entirely. Phone is always off, never home, never stops by, always doing 1,000,000,000 things at one time as far as I know, he's going to work himself to death. That or he's at his g/f's house. He would be here as a buffer until she was available, but it seems he's to busy for short visits too these days. Matt is always working, I mean absolutely always. They don't ever give him a break, and I really can't blame him for being gone all the time for it. Good money though, but he's another one who's working himself to death, literally. Jaime had a chance at taking a job with me at Warner this week, We have a person leaving, and one other possibly being let go, which is a prime chance for him as we need a bilingual person for calls that reside from Mexico, Brazil, and Spain. He declined the interview with my boss for last week, whom will be out all this week on vacation. Whether he has a chance anymore or not im not certain, but I feel blown off by the lack of interest he's shown in it, and almost like a fool for recommending to my boss for since he doesn't seem serious about it. Sad to waste a degree you worked and now are paying for. Frankie had recently offered to jam out with us, maybe become the bass player, but once again he's just as unreliable as ever. Jon is still in Kansas, and will remain so it seems for a long time. By the pictures of the house I can't blame him. If their was my kind of work out their id move their too, especially for those prices. Ive always hated LA, and the older I get, the more I hate it. As for everyone else, you either don't talk to me anymore, call, write, etc. Most of the Girls on my list or that I know (Either way) are all really busy with life and relationships too. I get a call or IM once in awhile with nothing but **** and complaining, never a "Hey how are you?", or a "Thought id call to see how you were." And why the **** can't any of you ever be happy once in awhile? I mean seriously. I guess the only girl I know whom I feel for is Ester with her current situation, which im not about to divulge here. My mother and I are still not on speaking terms, and even after my attempts on mending things, and my father calling her stupid for not accepting, im not about to try anymore. If you don't know why we haven't, you can ask me later, if you even care. Ash left yesterday for home and the house feels empty, which leads to my next paragraph
The Future...
Ive decided I am moving to Washington. I have very little reason to stay in California anymore. I've worked for Warner for nearly 2 years now, and have enough on my resume to catch a good job up in Everett or Seattle. I liked it when I went in November of last year. Now I cant say I originally planned on moving up there, but with little family here, no interest in the city or state itself, rising ridiculous living expenses, and a lack of social contact, I think ill just start fresh somewhere new. I've been floundering on the desist ion for months now, and after these past 2 weeks it seems certain its time for me to move on out of here. It will take some time before I leave though, ill have to finish setting up my loan finances, then prepare for the actual trip. Ill be driving in my car to Camano Island, staying with her in her parents house for a short time just to get settled, we've already found the apartment which for what it is would cost $1200+ here in cali, more like $450ish there. If I plan to being WA forever, I cannot say, I think it's unlikely if I make it big and can afford my dream home etc, but who knows. The climate is more to my liking, the people are surprisingly friendly, the Air is Air and nothing else (i.e Smog), it's quiet and not crowded. No roaches to speak of whatsoever, little traffic for the most part, lots of wildness to explore, beautiful homes, etc. There is a list. No one has yet to give me a compelling reason to stay here, other then cowardly advice of risks. Risk is part of life, and if you avoid it, you're devoid of life itself. Very few would miss my presence here, and about the only thing I can think of that id miss of the city would be Philippe's which ill just have mailed priority to me if I get the urge.
The plan for now is to get my loans consolidated, car registered to my name only (My uncle was a co-signer), save for the moving prep, and move out. Meanwhile Ash will save her money, continue with school and work, and we will go from their. Btw our 3 year Anniversary is Sept 3rd, by far longer than anyone had verbally predicted. Anyway, its 1:30 in the morning now, and I have work in 3 hours, so time for a short nap before the day begins. Let's see how many people comment, and how many take what ive said the wrong way. I have a good guess
