Right now I'm looking for a RTS game. The only series I've ever played was Age of Empires. Personally, I don't really like AoE3 much. I especially dislike how its multiplayer in general is set up... I never really got over the loss of MSN-Zone (memories...), but AoM was a good enough game.

So, can anyone recommend a good RTS game? My main interest is a good and active community. I can probably learn to love the game if I can get a bit of a learning curve (a fair amount of other new players) and maybe find a cool clan. I've never played an RTS besides AOE and to be honest (and damn, this sounds corny), I'm nervous about this new stuff, lol.

P.S. I'm looking for one that's out now. Ironically, it seems like there's a couple of good ones lined up for the near future.
