There's always the Sound bar. I have the Yamaha YAS-70 that comes with an awesome subwoofer for my room and it does SUPERB making a virtual surround sound experience. A tad above your budget, but worth it if you don't want to go through the trouble of all the wiring and such. Of course, a true 5.1-7.1 surround sound system is ideal, but this is great if you don't have much room to work with, like me. Look it up, it's pretty nifty. All the others mentioned are awesome, too. I've tested them all out, and I was impressed.

Quick question: Does anyone know to what extent "Simultaneous Worldwide Release" means? I'm vacationing here in Brazil for the month of June and I'm really hoping the game will drop by an import store, or something of the sort.

Depends on what you're going to do with your Ps3, really. If you're going to settle down more on the Blu-ray aspect of it, then by all means grab a 1080p set. As for games, there are very few that support a 1080p resolution, and if they do, It's not necessarily noticable to the "untrained" eye, and the games usually downscale themselves to 720p automatically. I have a 32" Panny that supposedly does 1080p, says the PS3 display settings via HDMI, but I'm sure it downscales to 768p or whatever it is now. And I must say, Blu-ray and games alike look superb on this particular set. But, if you have the money to afford a 1080p set, just do Full HD. I'd stick around Samsung and the new line of LCDs Panasonic is rolling out soon. Very good quality. Check avsforums.com also.

Hello all. I have a general inquiry for you. I have recently purchased an 32" LCD HDTV for my room mainly for the PS3. Panasonic TC-32LX700 to be exact and I must say it's amazing. Right now I'm running component cables on it with 720p. Now, the TV apparently supports 1080i and 1080p at the native resolution, 1366x768, without downscaling, but to truly notice the difference between 720p and 1080p on a smaller screen such as this 32", you must be sitting at least 3-4 feet away from the TV. I generally sit 5-6 feet away and the picture quality is stunning as it is. So, for all the HD PS3 players with a similar situation, or even an opinion for that matter, should I jump the fence and go ahead and get me an HDMI hookup? Or, should I just chill with my components? Most of the games out as of now support 720 only anyways, with the exception of Lair and some future titles [MGS4, Killzone 2(maybe?)]
