Congrats, a batch of early-build pics from a press conference. This is all we need to know. :|

During the conference, one of the guys from Epic was talking about how much better Gears of War would've looked if they released it today because of the upgrades for UE3. They showed a tech-demo of levels on the original Gears to show the difference, from the live-feed blogs on the conference, it sounds as if it is an upgrade and that we can be pretty sure that GeOW2 will be graphically better than the first.

I'm sure we all knew that though. Consoles may have outdated hardware but games always progress in graphics, only a fanboy thinks that a consoles graphics reaches it's peak in the beginning of its third year.

Gears of War on PC came out a year later and was up against competition and still got AAA. What's going to be competition on consoles for the second? A sequel to a 6.9 game? Gears of War 2 will be AAA, quote me on it and save it if you want.

Since we are discussing potential AA games, Metal Gear Solid 4 will get be AA on GameSpot such as Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 3 were.

It's actually "cool" to hoot and hollar like a moron during the contest. Just pay attention to the crowd. As for why I don't like the contest, it stems from the fact that I don't like dunks at all. They are an individual part of a team game. They're not worth any more than a layup, and all they do is turn the great game of basketball into an individual exhibition. Well, I don't like tennis and i'm going to watch the next tennis tournament, then i'm going to come on here and bash it for no legit reason other than my own personal disliking.

We all know Dr.J, Chocolate Thunder and Jordan never dunked on anyone. Its these damn youngsters trying to ruin everything. Everything was so much better in the old days when Darryl Dawkins would do finger rolls, Michael Jordan would do your regular layups. I know some have you have seen when Jordan posterized Ewing, but i'm here to break the bad news to you. It never happened and was an illusion. All dunks have been edited so that nobody knows that today's players are destroying the game.

They think they're cool if they hate it. They also seem to forget it's real life and that people can only do so much The object is to make tweaks to the dunks, and if you can add something new but its not likely to happen considering almost every possible dunk has been done before.

Also, if you think Gerald Green's dunk was weak you are foolish. Do you understand how high you have to jump to blow the candle out? Maybe some people were expecting him to jump over the Sears Tower and through the rim entirely, but you have only yourself to blame for having insane expectations.
