Sims 2 for the PS2

I've been trying to play this game for weeks now, and I am just not enjoying it at all. Creating the characters is the main fun I have. Everything else is totally confusing. I think I am going to trade this one back, unless I get some good advice from the forums.

Katamari Damacy

I am completely hooked on Katamari Damacy.  Not only do I have the song running through my head all day, but I find myself wondering about the more difficult boards, and thinking about which direction I should have rolled my ball.  The little prince is very cute!  I hate it when the king of the cosmos yells at him.  But my favorite thing has to be the way that the cats and the people starting yelling when I am big enough to roll them over.  It just cracks me up.  I get the biggest smile on my face.  It's quite satisfying.  What does this say about me?

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I just heard the soundtrack for movie four.  It was excellent!  Hogwart's Hymn was incredible and is my favorite.  The Quidditch World Cup is also very good.  I can definitely say that I will own the CD for GoF just like I own PoA.

Additionally, I just put down $5 to pre-order Goblet of Fire for the PS2.  The only other HP game that I don't have, coincidently, is the Quidditch World Cup.  The Harry Potter games may not be the most challenging, or even the best looking; but there is something about them that I really enjoy.  I just love getting lost in the universe...stomping around the grounds, going to classes, searching the halls - it's just fun!

Shadow of the Colossus

I did a review of my collection and decided it was time to get rid of the stuff I wasn't playing.  That and the fact that Gamestop was having a nice sale for trade-ins spurred me on.  Additionally, the makers of Ico have made another incredible game called Shadow of the Colossus.  It is now MINE!

I traded in five games and got a nice credit to put against Shadow.  I rarely buy new games.  But this was an exception.  I had the credit and Shadow just looks incredible.  I have already slain five of the colossi.  But I shall not spoil it for anyone here.  Maybe later I will put in a review.  I have been meaning to do that for Ico for a while now.  Maybe tomorrow...

Summoner series

I just ordered two new games from EBGames.com. The Summoner and The Summoner 2. I don't know much about the games, but I had read a reveiw that was encouraging and stated that Summoner was a must for the PS2; I adore my PS2!  And since I really enjoy RPGs I decided that they were worth the purchase.  I probably shouldn't have gotten them-money is rather tight, but they were at an excellent price; ($5.99 and $7.99 respectively). I even got the cheaper shipping.  It will take about ten days, but I am feeling very frugal and pleased with myself so I can endure the wait.

It's almost time for HBP!

I took a summer class. Pre-Calc II. I must have been out of my mind! I am so exhausted and my brain is melting out of my ears.

Thank goodness that I get my Harry Potter book tomorrow night! It's the only thing I have to live for!! Welll, okay....that was a bit of an exaggeration. But at least I have one good thing to look forward to in the midst of all those sines and cosines and their laws. *shiver*.

Harry Potter has a union!

Harry Potter has a union! Who knew? Well, he does, and I just joined it. Go me! I wonder if they have a secret handshake? Or if they will have me do some sort of special ceremony to be a member. I've never been in a union before. Is that kind of like being in a cult?

^_^ Ahhh, I'm just kidding!

Since I am already a member of the Leaky Cauldron's Forum, I thought this would be fun too. I'm gonna go and search through the union's forums and see if they have any interesting topics to comment on.

J&D is Cool!

Jak is pretty cool! I really must admit. I have finally gotten past the fire cavern or trench or whatever it's called. Now I am trying to collect the power cells for the blue sage. I was so overwhelmed in the new landscape that I jumped back to the old one just to feel grounded. I'm a loser, I know. The good thing is that I was able to collect all the precursor orbs and all of the power cells from the Forbidden Jungle and Sentinel Beach. Sandover Village has me stumped! I just can't get Jak to jump over to the third grassy cliff. I finally got to the second one. But the third.... I guess I am going to have to sneak a peek at the cheats. I really hate doing that though. Oh well...I'm a loser, I know.

Jak: Precurser something...

Okay. I just picked up the first Jak and Daxter. My immediate impression is that this reminds me of Spyro (who I really enjoy - except for Enter the Dragonfly, but that's a whole other journal entry). Jak is cool, though. Well, cooler. Spyro is cool, too. Daxter...{chuckles}...fell in some black ooze and now he is some kind of weasel or something. Anywhoooo...

I like it! Jak has way more moves than Spyro does. In fact I am still trying to work them all out - which is fun, actually. I made the mistake of falling into the ocean and a big shark ate me. {shivers} Now I am hydrophobic! When I land in the water I start hopping around like a lunatic searching for dry land!

I am still learning all the rules and controls, trying to find these egg shaped things which I can trade in for power cells. All in all, it's very entertaining. I have only 9% completed so far, so I don't feel like I have the right to rate it yet. But I am pretty sure that my rating in going to be a high one. It sure is going to help me pass the time now that I don't have Spyro to play anymore.
