So Sony started off we the usuall talk and how they apologise to all of their consumers about what has been happening recently. Its seems that sony this years were counteracting their unfortunate attacks with good deals, which to me sounds like a groveling proposition to all those they lost to xbox. Lets face it no one likes a suck up and that is what sony did they sucked up to all of the sony conumers by offering them deals. Wr started the games viewing with good onld Uncharted 3, the game looked very polished and the graphics were good, until the water came in as the boat took an explosion to the hull, the water looked like a goo and didnt move up into the boat naturally but looked like it was waiting for the player. Never the less the game showed off some cool scenes and features and will definetly be a ps3 hit. A short look a biashock infinte, the game also looked very well done and made me want to go for the controller but i would swap it out for a xbox controller for the ps3, it will be coming with a free copy of bioshock one because of the "extra storage space" the ps3 offers all on one disc and that you would only recieve this with sony, well they got that right how else would give out outdated games and show off. Yes true a free game woudl not get a no from me but every one of the big players in games have fone this its nothing new. The next big game was resistance 3 long has it been a ps3 hit and im sure this one will do the same, but sadly and this seems to be a reacuring thing with sony copying. Resistance just looked like gears of war in first person, the human race was going down the drain alien taking over and you a human try to take them down. All there are only small simularities in the both of them it just seem its sucking off of the xbox's success game. Move was emphasised alot during the conference in many games as well as bioshock and resistance, resistance itself getting a package deal with a gun for the move and some other goodies for a cheap price. But we all know this is the suck up sony have to set their prices low because they have been a huge let down over the last months. The CEO of sony continued with his grandious speech of how the ps3 was the best gaming console and showed a variety of new companies going sony for example cinema which will provide movies. Again this is questionable why would you get another movie company when netflix dominates ps3 pointless anyone? Move claimed by sony to emerse the player in the game put them there and then, sorry but all you do is wave a stick or two around, which of course doesnt resemble the wii mote at all. And this comes to what i was saying its a forged copy of the wii mote with a big light on top, it really seems that sony are the copy cats of the gaming world really the wii mote was there first come up with something original like xbox has done. We were then told about playstation suite were people could use sony certified android phones and others to get the "Playstation experience" you can play games on the game ect. Ok now heres were sony takes the biscuit really, they couldnt have been more sorer losers and copy cats now, because microsoft has their own phones which provides full on game sony just has to jump in to get some of the action, but they werent there first and so should find some other way and not copy what another has done. And then out came another copy cat product the playstation vita the latest in hand helds, i will admit i have a psp3000 and loved it because it was unique but now now its way out of the park. The vita comes with two cameras to augement reality with games nothing like the 3ds at all "copy" its has two touch areas one on the front screen and one on back of the device "copy" in most respects. But it did show some impressivish gameplay with uncharted making use fo all the new aspects the dual analog sticks and the touch screen. Other games followed but didnt really impress, but the street fighter vs tekken certainly got the crowd going and its developer showed a small demo and its looked great and looked like a winner. So how much is the vita well 250 for wifi and 299 for 3g and wifi. So you can play wherever online, know one thing that made me laugh was that there will be a party room for players to talk, sorry sony you couldnt have been more blatent a copy cat party chat was a revalation for xbox and now it seems sony just had to copy knowing microsoft has made all of the moves they couldnt without copying. And then we came to little big planet 2 and the new move features which werent overly interesting and the creator claimed that little big planet was the first to allow user generated content, well heres where i went up to the stage and punched the guy. Ever heard of halo 3 sure their not going to mention that but sony make to many false claims. Another sony product came up as sony games are going to feature 3d and indeed xbox has ventured down this road because its rubbish, lets face it 3d is just terrible and costs so much money and all you get is a worse than hd picture and some shapes slightly edging out the tv. So what did sony do make a sony brand 3d tv which come with a hd cable and a pair of glasses all for 599 oh not to much then. Really i cant see it being a big success as 3d just ruins picture quality and the reason no one else has done it is its a dead end at the moment and doesnt promise much bad move sony but at least you didnt copy it. But i think the biggest surpirse for me was the return of sly the raccoon and that made the whole thing worth watching, the return of my favorite game titled theives in time so i will be looking forward to that. So all in all sony's conference was a snorfest nothing to interesting expect a couple of major games, they did show a variety more than microsoft but most of it was the copy cat challenge and it was dissapointing to see sony not being able to come up with anything origninal expect their own playstation 3d tv priced at a ridiculous price promising bad picture quality and object creeping out of the screen about 2 inches.
