With the Microsoft conference day 1 finished we can all say what a show they put on. During the entire show i was put ont he edge of my seat and couldn't believe what was coming our way to xbox. For starters xbox is getting some new and awesome add on. First and most excitingly youtube is coming to xbox, this was a big shocker for myself and was greeted with cheers as i watch the conference talking over a xbox live party. Youtube on xbox i revolutionary and who knows maybe captures will become obsolete? With a full on area devoted to youtube, we won't be seeing the terrible quality that the internet on the playstation delivered, but we will see a full screen crisp hd experience, making youtube the next hot thing to hit the xbox. Another great add on is Bing. Tied in with kinect users can vocally speak and use bing to search for different things e.g. I could ask for harry potter and be directed to all of the games and films to do with the subject, handy if you just want to quickly find what your looking for eh? And lets not forget Live Tv thats right, Live Tv is making its way to xbox with providers like Sky, tied into kinect again we can quickly go onto live tv and watch our favorite programs what a way to spend an evening and you won't even have to move a muscle unless you need the toilet and you can then say pause and the xbox being the clever bugger it is will pause it for you and resume when you tell it too. We also got to see some great titles for Kinect with the likes of stars wars, kinect sports adventures season 2, dance central, disney land kinect and many more. With great demonstrations and demonstrators kinect proved itself once again on being the biggest and best game invention in present time. One that stood out was Kinect fun labs which from the demo allows you to take pictures and using the new finger tracking software you can draw and making paterns on your picture and then view it in 3D! Another great one was that you can turn any object into a 3d character to control with kinect, a teddy bear was scanned in and in seconds popped up on the screen in 3d ready to be controlled but it wasnt mentioned what you could use the scanned items in for other than to muck around we will have to keep our eyes peeled. With new commercial titles like mordern warfare 3, mass effect 3 and gears of war 3 sooooo many 3ssssssss!!!!!!! All looking brilliant and the demonstrations made me almost want to jump and push the guys playing off the stage so i could experience them first hand before anyone else could. Tom Clancy's Future Soldier also proved to be a game worth looking forward to, not only did the trailer promising some amazing gameplay and graphics but ubisoft have tied in kinect into the game. You can use your hands to open your weapon it parts and swap them from e.g. a red dot to a acog scope and even use your voice to change them, saying close quarters the game made a gun specifically on the lines of those words presenting a sub machine gun with various attachments. But wait theres more the demonstration showed you being able to test your customisations in a test zone using your hands to controlled he soilder and shot, future modern warfare kinect anyone? But what really was the kicker was the announcement of halo combat evolved anniversary edition with crisp hd graphics. But that doesn't compare to what happened at the end of the conference. A black background emerged and suddenly a orange pulse, a faint voice in the background shouting a name. The orange pule continued moving up lines glowing more, the voice returning shouting getting clearer and then you heard the "John!" the orange pulse disappeared and a brain was showen, before a cryo tube exploded and low and behold the MASTER CHIEF!!! the next series of events was the cheif grabbing his holographic friend and fighting his way through the ship trying not to be killed by bits of metal before going into space flying towards a white hole and the words HALO 4 appeared with the choirs singing in the background. Miscrosofts e3 starter was great and I can't wait for the rest of it especially SKYRIM!!! I hope you enjoyed the blog and tune in again when I talk about the rest of the big games comign out.
