First of all...

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I hope everyone had a great start to the year today, Not too many sore heads I hope :P

I spent my day here

See New Years Day used to be the best day to go because hardly anyone went and you didn't really have to queue up for any of the rides. That was true last year when we didn't end up going :P The weather looked miserable at home. We later found out from someone who was there that the weather at the park was great and there were no queues.

This year, someone must have told everyone about it coz there were 1000's of ppl! They have a large carpark there and we were lucky to get a parking spot. There was also a bus load of tourists:x The queues were incrediably long. So NOT a good day to go, last year we went at the end of the season in March when it's still fairly mild temps and there was hardly anyone. I think we're going back in March :P

Aside from that I had a good day :D The park's closed over winter cause it's nearly all water activities. The past winter they put in a new water thrill ride called

and OMG it's a great ride, it's fun but at the same time terrifying :P You sit in these rafts that can take up to 5 ppl and you go down this water slide in COMPLETE DARKNESS it's pitch black, you cannot see a thing! It's like having your eyes closed. They say it only lasts about 20secs but it felt longer :P

First thing once you're in the raft they ask you who wants to go down backwards first. I of course said not me but the raft turned a little and I ended up going backwards. Dropping down into darkness backwards, not my idea of fun :P It drops down to begin with, then it twists and turns and the raft goes up the side and turns around. Then in the middle of it there's another big drop and you can't see anything so you don't see it coming and can't brace yourself for it. Again I went down that drop backwards as well and I wasn't expecting that drop :P It scared me coz I thought I was going to fall out of the raft :P You know that feeling when you go over a kind of small hill or something fast and your stomach drops. That's what it feels like on the drop in this slide. It twists and turns some more, one of the slides has a tighter turn at the end (so glad I didn't end up in that one :P) Then you see some light at the end of the tunnel up ahead yay :P Then as terrifying as it was, you want to go on it again :lol: I wonder if you humed a song would it help like when Dean hums to help with his fear of flying :lol::P

My 7yr old nephew, as soon as they got into the daylight he was saying "Can we go on it again, again, again" :P My niece wasn't so keen, she was huddled down in the raft crying poor thing she was so frightened. I was like that once as a kid, mum convinced me to go on this roller coaster. I hated it and was crying for half of the ride :P

As scary as it was for my niece though when they were going back for another go and I was having my first ride on it she decided to give it another go. The 2nd time she seemed alright, it didn't upset her as much. She said it still made her tummy feel funny, we told her you just scream and that feeling goes away.

When you're near the ride that's all you can hear is ppl screaming, great ride huh :P One girl screamed the whole ride, she just screamed and screamed. This was b4 I went on it and I thought, yeah, that sounds like a fun ride :P I want to go on it again though.

Man that was long winded, bonus points if you're still with me :lol:

I love the Tabogans but the queue was just too long. Probably would've had wait 2hrs, next time. I burn extremely easily, I don't tan (naturally :P) I go red then back to white :P I thought I was well protected from the sun today but it turns out I missed a spot...The back of my legs :P They are quite red atm and feel like they're on fire. It's not so bad with the fan on my legs though.

I never intend my blogs to be as long as they end up being :P

Lets hope 2008 is a great year for all of us :D No resolutions, I don't do resolutions - I think I've only ever made one new year resolution :P But it would be nice if some dreams came true for someone, somewhere.
