@Suikogaiden Except that some people have, and considering only more and more money has been put into esports year after year, I see no reason why pro gamers won't be able to continue living off of gaming. People had the same views about extreme sports back when they first started gaining momentum, and now look at them.

@gatsbythepig You've clearly never seen a single pro esports team. Look at the top SC2 players, the top LoL teams, etc. Hardly any of them fit the fat, lazy gamer stereotype.

@TonnFool Because there is developer support and the game is extremely popular. It may not be the best game for competition from a gameplay perspective, but if the developers of the game are willing to shell out money and gear for prizes in addition to the game having a huge backing, the game will undoubtedly be at major tournaments and events.
