Happy New Year(2009 FTW!)

I'm a bit late but hey better late then never. I hope everyone has a superb 2009 and I can't wait for the great games coming out this year.

Spore

I had high hopes for this game but in the end I was slightly let down. I did not like the fact that the first few stages were so short, I was able to finish the cell, creature, tribe and civilization in an hour or less for each stage. These stages should of been longer so it felt like your spore was actually evolving in a balanced manner. Then we get to the space stage the part of the game I enjoyed the most.

The quests were fun to play and changing the way planets looked was pretty cool but it did seem a bit repetitive after a while. The graphics were decent enough and I like the way you could change the music by creating a anthem so it never became irritating listing to the same thing over and over. Overall Spore isn't that bad its just not what I expected and it does have a lot of replay value.

Crisis Core and more Oblivion

I will start off with Oblivion first since it's taken me forever to finish. I think that the shivering Ilse was a great expansion, the story was really interesting and the ability to craft new weapons from madness ore and amber was really neat. Overall Oblivion is one of the greatest games of all time and I still can't believe how good the graphics are after almost 5 years. Next is FFVII: Crisis Core a game I have been waiting to play for ages on the PSP. What can I say? This game is great! The emotional cut scenes and music to the great storyline and new combat system all make Crisis Core a superb game on the PSP. The game took me about 30 hours to finish which is a decent amount for a Final Fantasy game.

I bought Spore recently, which is pretty good so far, and will be getting Crysis: Warhead in a couple of days time.

Oblivion and Age of Conan finished!

Let me start off with Oblivion since it's taken 4 years for me to finally get through it. The first point I have to make is that the graphics are still damn good even though the game was released in 2004. Everything about Oblivion is great and there is tons of quests and places to explore. I also managed to finish the Knights of the Nine quest which was pretty fun. Of course I am still playing Oblivion to finish all the guild quests and the shivering Ilse so this should still take me a while. Now on to Age of Conan, I got to level 80 with my Bear Shaman which took a huge amount of time and in the end it was worth it. The only time in the whole game I had to grind was from level 79-80 so I don't know what people are complaining about. The only problems with the game is the lack of high level content, high system requirements, crafting system and the odd crash now and again. But most of these problems will be addressed in the near future well that's what I hope anyway. So overall I really enjoyed playing Age of Conan and now I can take a nice long break from mmorps.

Okami

What a great game! I never got bored once in the whole game, something that is very hard to achieve. The story, music and graphics are of the highest quility so it is tough to fault the game in any area. I still can't understand why the game failed to sell and because of that the studio that made Okami had to close down what a damn shame. Well I am proud to say I have a copy of OKAMI.

Age of Conan update

So far I have played AOC for more than a month and reached level 68 with my bear shaman, still got 12 long levels to go. I must say that I have really enjoyed it so far except for some bugged quests and certain graphics issues. I am hoping to finish the game this month so I can decide whether or not to stick with AOC or try a different MMORPG.

Mass Effect and Oblivion

As soon as one game is finished it's on to the next one, a never ending cycle. So I completed Mass Effect for the pc and it was a pretty decent game overall. Nice story, smooth gameplay and great graphics. The only negative side was the odd glitch here and there but nothing too serious. But I must say that I still preferred Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic there was something special about that game. Anyway now that im done with Mass Effect I can move on to Oblivion, I hope this time I can finish it because every time in the past I started playing for some reason I would just give up like half way through. Fingers crossed!

AOC and Puzzle Quest

About a week ago I bought Age of Conan and what a game it is. I gave up playing WOW because Age of Conan is more my style of play, better graphics and a much more mature game. I took a bear shaman as my first class and so far it is up to level 17. I also finished my first PSP game recently Puzzle Quest. I really enjoyed this game but at times it is really frustrating especially when I had to fight the final boss. Guess I will start playing the Xmen game I got free with my PSP..
