Bit of an update for you guys. I bought my warranty in July '08. Apparently starting in September '08, they ship it out, but before that, they have to exchange it in store. I was informed I will either receive a console of equal value ($299) or buy it off of me and give me the $300. (They're out in my city's Best Buy, Nashua, NH. But they do have them in Salem, NH.) So either way, I will probably be picking up a free slim because my 2 year old Xbox red ringed.....AMERICA.

So here's a kicker. I bought a 360 two summers ago with a 2 year Best Buy warranty. Last night, it red ringed after freezing several times. My warranty is up on July 18th so I very much lucked out. This was the "Pro" System back in the day. (20 GB hard drive.) I paid $299 for it and still have all my receipts and paperwork. Anyways, my question is, I'm going to venture in there tomorrow and replace this thing, and does anybody/employees have any idea how they will go about this? (Besides being difficult, probably.) Like, they don't make the Pro anymore. They make the Pro Arcade, but this retails for $179 when I paid $299. I called earlier to corporate who informed me they will match what I paid for it as long as I can prove I paid that much for it (which I can.) So does anyone know if I'll end up getting something else for it or......? Thanks guys.
Rockstar already has a 1930s/40s gangster game coming out don't they? "LA Noire?"
Still have to go with Pirates. Rockstar just proved they can do a very awesome historical piece with that Rockstar feel to it. Plus they tend to avoid water. I would love to seem them blow everyone's minds by taking it to the open seas. The little towns, treasure, open worlds, hunting/ trading. It's perfect.
After the successful and overall awesome that is Red Dead Redemption, I'd love to see Pirates. It would just be so fantastic if you think about it.
If they made the 3rd part in modern times. Welcome to about 30 games on the market right now. It would be like a little bit of Prototype meets Wanted. If it's in modern times, I'm going to be really disappointed. Part of the reason I love the games so much is because they really do bring to life the era it takes place in.
Personally I think once they've gone into the future, they've run the whole series into the ground. Part of me would love a MW3, but I would really really want to see a new IP by them all together.
Personally, I would love to see it set during the Revolutionary War in America. Being an assassin running around the streets of Colonial Boston, that would just be too cool.
Ideas?
I know I'm not a Game Site but I've been playing it all morning and found little to complain about, it's outstanding.
An obvious one would be another variant of Call of Duty. I however, based on a certain level involving an airport in Modern Warfare 2, would love to see Infinity Ward take on the heist genre. Bank robberies, storming buildings, etc. Imagine the multiplayer modes they could set up with that. It would be like Kane and Lynch, but, you know, a lot better.
Your ideas?
So I'll be headed to the midnight for AC2 and L4D2 tomorrow night. Have both paid and ready to go. Annoying story incoming, but bear with me. Yesterday I realized I kind of wouldn't mind paying the $20 more for the limited edition of AC2, so I call up the one I pre ordered it at and ask if they're still selling it. They inform me yes, so i head down there to "Oh, the SKU left our system over a week ago, we can't do it." :x
Anyways, while in the store, I noticed that several of the hardened, a few goggle editions and even one or two console editions of MW2 were still on the shelf. So I was wondering, anyone or especially Gamestop employees, do you think they would have an extra copy or two on hand of the limited edition at midnight anyway? Cuz I really really want it. Otherwise, the next limited edition I have to wait for isn't until Splinter Cell: Conviction. :x
