Hi,

I know this post is quite old now but did yoiu find out why the mobo isn't detecting the 8800 in the first Pci-Ex slot?

When the board first came out I bought one and setup my watercooling and cards etc, fired it up but couldn't get it to use the card in that Pci-Ex (blue) slot. Had to move it to the other.

Reading the Handbook I found a note tha said that Pci-Ex slot 1 will not take dual GPU cards or something about running them at 8x speed.

I'm assuming this was the problem although nowadays I would like to run my card in the 1st Pci-Ex slot.

Can you tell me if there is a bios update that they have done that now allows this please.

Works fine for me but don't like the way it lets people spawn in the same spot as you didwhile you get a few cautious paces from it and are looking the other way!!!

Apart from that it a great game, especially the single player.

(multiplayer games are better though when they are like BF2 etc, in my opinion)

Thanks for that, problem being that he doesn't have a double slot for the card in the machine he has. Sorry forgot to mention. (didn't think there was a double out there, lol)

ANYONE GOT ANY SINGLE SLOT LOW PROFILES?

tried the program, unfortunately, as the device isn't seen as a device in the game controller section, you can't pick it in the drop down boxes.

hmm, might have to install some drivers, but have issues when I install them usually, with key presses etc.

any other suggestions?

Now i dont know a huge amount about grapihcs cards but this seems like a good deal!

Can anyone point me to the most powerful low profile video cards, with PCi-Express interfaces, please.

A friend of mine needs to upgrade his video adapter cos the onboard one sucks, and I need to get him playing battlefiled games etc so i can shoot him, lol

I have just ordered an EVGA 8800GTX SILENT 768Mb all singing all dancing vid card etc and makes my 2 BFG 7800GTX OC 256Mb cards either available for sale or used on other rigs. 

I'm having trouble finding how much to sell them for at a fair price to my mates and/or possibly others, but not sure what they are worth in the market at the moment as I don't want to give anyone them for too good a deal as they did set me back about £800 when I bought them a while ago.

Can anyone give me any current prices and performance comparison to justify what price (in GBP if possible) they would be fair to be sold for.

Just bought a copy, I know it's been out ages but I heard it was good and ran out of others to buy.:)

I'm using a thrustmaster Tacticalboard, without the Thrustmapper (keymapping) software installed, as it has bugs with BF2 when installed.:cry:  So basically the default keys for the tacticalboard are the way they are set.

In most games you can bind any keys to what you want fine, but I see that the NUMBERED and F-keys are in the RESERVED section.:question:  Unfortunately the most TO-HAND keys on the tac-board are the number keys!!:roll:

Is there any way to bind these keys to other functions? via text file editing or something else?:wink:
