@Vodoo: Kid, I'm pretty sure I pay more taxes on my six figures than your family takes home. There isn't a soldier alive that ever fought for America's "freedom". That war's been dead and buried for 200 years. I don't expect someone like you to understand the difference. Keep clutching to your fake patriotism at the expense of your fellow americans. I pity your ignorance.
@Vodoo: Careful, your white trash is showing through your fake patriotism. The National Anthem doesn't represent the president or the military. It represents the country and all the people in it. When that country stops representing the people the words in the anthem start to ring hollow. They aren't kneeling because they're upset making millions of dollars to play football, they're upset because unarmed people are being shot in the back and murdered on the streets by traitors with a badge. Read a book once in a while. It'll help prevent you from being so smugly misinformed.
This is huge for persistent world games or MMO's like league of Legends, etc. It's really hard to tell what's happened to a game 5-6 years after release. Especially with a lot of older games going on sale, I think it helps people know whether or not a game that had a low initial score because of bugs is now great due to patches.
@omotih: Yea, it's only the best game to come out in the last 10 years. NBD or anything. Enjoy being the one clown thinking that it's a bad game. Mad nerd hipster.
@LiveTrash:I have a Q6600 that is 8 years old and I play The Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor, GTA 5, etc on high @1080p with no problems - that's running with a R9 270x on top of it all.
The only games I have that bottleneck on the CPU side for me are Watchdogs and Assassins creed titles. As long as you don't need every last minor graphics feature, CPU is irrelevant.
In fact I was reading that most tier-up GPUs are only roughly 2-3% more powerfall than the line below them, which would make sense, given that the best video cards on the planet (at $1000k a pop) are incapable of 4k/60fps. The whole hardware race is a scam designed to separate people from their wallets.
Bought my rig 7 years ago for 600 and upgraded the graphics card twice at $100 a pop. Might not be every game on Ultra, but it gets the job done and looks better than what Sony and MS are offering.
