Alright then i'll admit that it isn't a universal problem, just my attention to detail. I'm actually **** about somehting else now;
Borrrring. Repetative much? 19% of the way in and I give up to play multiplayer. Congrats on 'diversity' Ubisoft.

When you look out your window, don't you hate all those shadows clouding your beautiful view?wado-karateNo, actually, my view sucks.
I have everything on Ultra.
www.explorecrete.com/nature/images/olive-tree.jpg< That is how shadows should look.
img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/roguetide/2-3.jpg< Look how convoluted the shadow is, each leaf is far too crisp. Everything casts these sort of shadows.

It makes spotting enemies 20x harder, cuz the shadows that hit them, camoflage them with the same shadows that are cast on the ground.
It needs bluring and slight distortion over distance. That's what i'm getting at.
Anyone else really hate the mash of shadows that're everywhere? The contrast on the shadows is far too high, and they're far to defined. It makes the ground look like a mess, and it's hard to appreciate the lovely textures. Has someone worked out where the config file is, that we can edit to blur and lower the contrast of shading? I tried turning the shadows off, but that looks worse.
TBS, aye, we played Civ 4 for a while - got boring. an RPG would go down well :\
Ya so, a friend and I are reminising over old school same-keyboard games. There was an RPG that allowed it some time ago, but can't remember the name.
Anyways, we're looking for same keyboard Coop games. We've got the Lego series of games, but we'd like something more like Baldur's Gate or smth along those lines, but on't same keyboard.
And no, we can't 'Just LAN' :P
Cheers guys!
Go look at the big name PC games.. its not dying, its doing better than ever!
COH, COD4, Crysis, The Witcher, WOW, Supreme Commander, STALKER, Condemned: Original Sins, HL2, CS:Source etc etc etc.. the list goes on forever.

Definately. It's only getting better, infact it's taking over consolesl; Take a look at the PC games like Crysis and Supreme Commander, they're currently PC only (Until badly ported...Oh wait, isn't SC on xbox 360? Besides the point;;) And the amount of hype both got, deservedly too! I very much doubt that Crysis will ever be taken to PS3 or 360, simply because it looks so Goddamn good on highend PC's, most of which are better than consoles. On one hand, this could mean that designers only develop for consoles, since it's the wider audience, but I think that it'll mean a new breed of PC games with continually advancing graphics, which seriously lack on the console. That's my two cents.
The beeping itself comes from the TV Speakers. It's got nothing to do with an internal speaker in the actual xbox. It usually happens just before, or just on a crash, and can mean a multitude of things. The important part is in the lights, if three of them are red, with the top right blank, it's a PSU error. If the lower right is red, its a HDD error. If the top two, a DVD Drive error. If all four, it's the motherboard / perhipherals. The xbox doesn't post on boot up, because there isn't an internal speaker.
Mine died after an update from Assassin's Creed, I saw three lights very momentarily before it shut itself off. I haven't used it in weeks, but i've rang up M$ on numerous occations. I've even tried that PSU 'fix', lifting it, keeping it completely cool, etc. Nothing works. I can only assume that my 'box is screwed, and that M$ owe me another one. If not, i'll go get a PS3.
Good luck with yours, dude, hope it works well.
