ArmA2 has the worst draw distances in the series... You have 10 km draw distance for terain but only something like 2 km for evreything else...

chaplainDMK

That was fixed in one of the beta patches.

[60522] Improved: Longer view distance for objects when high view distance is used.

You can now see objects as far as the view distance is set. But the VD in these games is not in one direction, it's a circle with the player in the middle and you will be able to see about 5km in each direction with the VD set to 10km.

[QUOTE="Dark_prince123"][QUOTE="Arach666"] This here says it all.the_mitch28

I heard that American Army used The First ArmA for Training the soldiers !!

Yeah the United States and Australian Army use an enhanced version called Virtual Battle Station (VBS), it has more features and greater realism. There is now VBS2 which uses the ArmA 2 engine.

That is not right.

VBS1 is based on the same engine as Operation Flashpoint: CWC/Res/Elite and it is called Real Virtuality 1.

VBS2 is based on the same engine as ArmA1 and is called Real Virtuality 2.

ArmA2's engine is called Real Virtuality 3.

And as far as I know VBS stands for Virtual Battlespace and not Virtual Battle Station, thats what the official site says anyway.
