I can't wait till I grab NBA 2k10. I've been looking around the city for mom & pop stores that usually sell games eraly but no go.

I would check out DJ Hero but I wouldn't buy it.

I'll d/l the last GTA episode when it drops. I already grabbed Lost & the Damned so no reason to buy the new disc release.

I'm surprised that no one said anything about 2k10. Its funny how that's all I am hearing about wherever I go.

Most important: fun factor (Nintendo still has some of the best games ever made imo)

Least important: I'd have to go with graphics 'cause it seems when developers obsese over them, the gameplay and fun factor always suffer

MGS4 Is great but if you're not a fan then you should pass on it since you wouldn't understand a thing lol. Well you said you had a son so Little Big Planet could be a great game you guys can play together. A simple platformer where you can make awesome levels yourself should provide hours upon hours of entertainment. And if you're into shooters there's always Killzone 2 or Resistance. You should check out the game recomendations thread for ideas but thise are some oof the must-have exclusives I can think of right now

That's exactly the kind of suggestion I needed. Thanks man. I'm gonna grab Little Big Planet for my son and maybe Marvel UA II on the ps3.

kind of a waste in my eyes. You are missing some pretty good games.

I couldn't pass it up for the price I got it for. I expected to totally convert to a ps3 guy but it has never happened. I'm gonna rent Metal Gear tonight and see what's what. I've said that a 100 x and I never get around to it. I go online on my 360 and satisfy my gaming for the night.

My friends all have 360's so I buy all my games for that. I have 2 homies that both have ps3's but they both happen to be my 2 most annoying friends that suck @ video games.

I contemplate buying games for the ps3 but always end up getting them for the 360. I have a few exclusives but mainly I play games that are on both consoles.

Nah homie, congrats ain't in order. I wanted to know if I was missing something. Is there a game on ps3 that is a must play?

I get the feeling that you were being a smart a$$. Apologies if I'm wrong. I wasn't trying to toot my own horn (pause). Nothing I wrote was special in any way. I know plenty of ppl that do the gamestop "outbids" like I did & watching burned movies is common place in 09.

I started the thread 'cause I wanted to know if I was missing out on any amazing game experiences that only the ps3 could offer.

I've had my ps3 for about a year now. I got it for $175 from a guy who was trying to sell it back to Gamestop. Of course they were gonna give him some obsene amount of money and I luckily was in line behind him and basically outbid their salesman. The ps3 worked great and I got 2 controllers and an hd cable but no games.

I already had a 360 and my son has a Wii (that no one plays anymore). Anyway, I set the ps3 up and started downloading free themes. I looked into installing linux. I downloaded Home when it came out. I told all of my fellow 360 owners that ps3 gave you way more for your money and I began to list all of the features it had that 360 did not or cost additional money.

Needless to say, I've still never played 1 game on my ps3. I was gonna get Metal Gear but never got around to it. The new Batman looks good but nah. I can wait. I use my ps3 d-mn near every night to watch .avi movies that I burn to dvd from my computer (another great feature that 360 doesn't have).

Am I the only one who owns a 360 and ps3 and uses the ps3 for a media center and 360 as a video game console?

Thankfully, I got the ps3 so cheap cause I'd be p-ssed if I payed the usual full price for what I only use as a divx/avi player (which now run about $60).

I played The Show Demo (the guy had already downloaded it). Yeah, it's much better than MLB 2K8. Only problem is I want my damn $ back for that broken a$$ 2K8. I refuse to take a loss. I'll think of something

Okay. I was @ my local EB Games trying to return a broken copy of MLB 2K8 for XBox 360. Needless to say I wasn't able to get my money back but I got a new copy of that glitchy a$$ game.

On my way out the door, some dude came in talking about selling a game system. The manager asked him what system and he said a 40GB PS3. EB Games was willing to give him $200 in store credit or $160 cash monies. Hearing all this, I quickly interjected that I would give the guy $200 cash on the spot.

The manager hooked up the system and tested it for me and everything was perfect. The only drawback was that the guy sold the other controller to EB Games and he didn't have a HDMI cable.

I got home and couldn't figure out why in a rats a$$ would someone sell a perfectly good PS3 for $200. Being a XBox 360 dude, I was amazed @ all of the features that the PS3 comes straight out of the box with. As soon as PS3 gets it's games up (this year) it has no choice but to blow the 360 out of the water. Full Internet browser (faster load times than Wii) and downloadable themes free from the net is crazy. Not to mention being able to eventually put different OS' on.

Anyway. Is it something I am missing? Is this something that happens often? The Blu-Ray alone is worth keeping.

The guy was like 6'5'' 375 pounds...Maybe he whooped someone's a$$ and took their PS3? Still, I feel like I got too good a deal.
