Okay. I was @ my local EB Games trying to return a broken copy of MLB 2K8 for XBox 360. Needless to say I wasn't able to get my money back but I got a new copy of that glitchy a$$ game.
On my way out the door, some dude came in talking about selling a game system. The manager asked him what system and he said a 40GB PS3. EB Games was willing to give him $200 in store credit or $160 cash monies. Hearing all this, I quickly interjected that I would give the guy $200 cash on the spot.
The manager hooked up the system and tested it for me and everything was perfect. The only drawback was that the guy sold the other controller to EB Games and he didn't have a HDMI cable.
I got home and couldn't figure out why in a rats a$$ would someone sell a perfectly good PS3 for $200. Being a XBox 360 dude, I was amazed @ all of the features that the PS3 comes straight out of the box with. As soon as PS3 gets it's games up (this year) it has no choice but to blow the 360 out of the water. Full Internet browser (faster load times than Wii) and downloadable themes free from the net is crazy. Not to mention being able to eventually put different OS' on.
Anyway. Is it something I am missing? Is this something that happens often? The Blu-Ray alone is worth keeping.
The guy was like 6'5'' 375 pounds...Maybe he whooped someone's a$$ and took their PS3? Still, I feel like I got too good a deal.
