I've beaten MGS4 about 5 times and it was the best game i have EVERRR played, but now what else is there thats as good as MGS4? im looking into battlefield but i dont think it will live up to the hypeGoku87

Stop complaining, installs are fine, people freakin' value their GBs like gold. for 109 you can have a 320GB PS3 like me and do not worry about installs or downloads.

I download everything, install all games, have tons of MP3 and videos on my PS3 and I DON"T CARE ABOUT INSTALLS the only thing installs bother me, is that when I get a new game and I'm anxious to play it, it takes 10 minutes to start. After that I'm good to go.

Note: Regarding the Bluray not being fast enough, I don't know if you ever bought a CD-ROM for your computer, they started at 1x-2x and the last one I saw was 64x that means it reads disks at 64 times faster than the first CDROMs (1x), I think BLuray is too new and its technology did not reach this maturity yet, I don't know if a firmware update will do it, (not in the case of the CDROM), the hardware was different and faster, maybe Bluray will get a 2x version and it will start reading faster.

Yeah, as the years progress, Blu-Ray drivers will be able to read and write way faster. Its just the way that these technologies develope. This was the only problem that I could think of when I first heard the specs of the PS3, the fact that Blu-Ray is really young to be being used in systems.

This is also why so many games on the PS3 (that I've seen) offer a complete install of the game to HDD. Hopefully, soon everything will be digitally wired, and discs won't be needed. Just pay through the PSN and download.
