Whya re gamers the first ones to start throwing stones. Anything that is not part of their own particular mainstream is something to sneer at.
Console gamers do it to PC gamers, PC gamers to console gamers, they all make fun of people who play board games, the first person shooter guys make fun of the MMO guys, the MMO guys make fun of the RTS guys, the RTS guys make fun of platformer guys, and the jocks who spend all their time playing football with their buddies make fun of all of us gamers.
It's a stupid, hipocritical vicious cycle.
Someone, somewhere thinks YOU are wasting your time being on these forums, someone somewhere thinks youa re nerd for that, and a geek for liking video games at all.
It's so stupid.
I mean, seriously, what's the difference between aguy who probably spent all of 5 minutes a week playing a turn based game with his friend for 10 years, vs some other guy who spent the last 10 years playing shooters with strangers on the internet? Or the guy who spent the last 10 years playing single player RPG's like Elderscrolls fo rhundreds of hours?
Get out with your logic sir! Also, if that guy bothered to even read he would know he didn't play this 24/7 or even close to that. It's just a save file he's had and he'll play it occasionally. He still plays other games and does other stuff. But your post hit the nail on the head. "He's not me! Therefore he's a nerd and he's wasting his time!"
