[QUOTE="0rin"]I like how the thread title says "PS3 loyalists" yet 80-90% of the posts so far are from people either still on the fence about even getting one, or people who despise the system anyway. I highly doubt any TRUE "loyalist" would "jump ship" because of a few lost exclusives. It sucks, yeah. But is it going to make me exchange my PS3 for an inferior console? Not really.

What other console can play my Blu-rays, Play awesome video games, and has a free online service in which I can connect with friends and play games? Answer that and I'll consider changing.
0rin

That's a thing i definitly know the PS3 cant do yet:lol:

o well heres to the future!!:)

That is purely in your opinion. I personally find Resistance, Motorstorm, and all my other games on my PS3 quite enjoyable.

The 360 can play HDDVD, play better games and has a better online service... Will you change now?

colmusterd28

So, you took my challenge, completely changed the requirements, tacked on your (IMO) crummy opinions, and think I'll accept second rate? BTW, how is paying for an online service better than not paying for it? I go online to play games with my friends, Not show off my "leet" gamerscore.

For the moment XBL may have more features, but those features are totaly not worth it, In my humble opinion of course. SO try again, my good chum.

Paying for an online service that has had lots of hours put into perfecting it since day one of the original Xbox, versus Sony that thinks after...oh...MAYBE a year that their garbage online service (PS2 online anyone?:lol:) can even hope to compete is what's better. 360 owners KNOW they are getting their money's worth with XBox Live.

Why the hell do you think Sony WANTS, I repeat, WANTS to emulate what Xbox Live has become? 'Cause they know they half-assed their "online" and are now doing their best to at least somewhat resemble the superior online service.

[QUOTE="DoctorBunny"][QUOTE="Danm_999"][QUOTE="SergeantSnitch"][QUOTE="Danm_999"][QUOTE="goblaa"]

[QUOTE="DoctorBunny"]I forgot you HAVE to buy it right? i mean yea. I can play any 360 game for only $300 with top of the line graphics. ahh, gotta love it, go cry some more, your age is showingDanm_999

You also need your $2000 TV.

Omg pwned.

You can get an HDTV that displays 1080p for $800 bucks now. This will also last you many years. PC gaming is very expensive.

It is, but it's cost can easily be marginalised through informed shopping for components. What gets my goat is console fanboys demanding and absolute standard of maximum from PC gaming, citing multiple thousand dollar rigs, then not conforming to these standards themselves. Yes, you can get a Core 360 for $300, but it's got no HDD, no HDTV, no XBL, one wired controller, etc. It is in no way the same level of standard demanded of a PC.

Already owned a HDTV cost = $0 HDD contributes nothing at all except storage cost = $0 XBL - Free, if you want to play online which I dont anymore $50, 10x better than pc gamming online btw xbox 360 - $300 Controller - doesnt matter if its wired, performs EXACTLY the same, same design, same everything - $0 total - $350 for total experience next

Cool. I already own a Quad Core and an 8800GT. I guess by that logic PC gaming costs $0 for me. WOW WHAT A DEAL. And who needs a HDD? Saving games is overrated, I like to start fresh each time. Arcade games? New content for my 360 games? Nah, don't need that to enjoy the maximum 360 experience. And yes, XBL is totally 10x better than PC online. It's just slower, has less online games available, does less in terms of gaming and multimedia, has less people online and allows less people in matches, disallows most user and official content and costs $50 more a year. But other than that it's totally superior. And why would I ever need more than 1 controller for a console? You're right.

Seeing as how HDD is ALREADY INCLUDED when you purchase the system, that "argument" was lost from the start. Claiming XBL is slower without ever actually trying it yourself can't be debated either. You can download demos for games, watch movie trailers, upload pictures and music, there is Xbox Live Arcade as well. And just about every single game for the 360 has online ability. I've been in games where there will be close to 100 people on at one time, and it's not even CLOSE to being slow or lagging. Talking out of your ass and never having any actual experience with the service isn't going to get you anywhere.

Anyone with half a brain is going to say that PC gaming is more expensive. It is. You can spend well over a grand to have a maxxed out PC. It may also cost $50 a year for XBL but it's actually proven, and won't cost you a thousand dollars just to get online. I've had atrocious experiences with PC online gaming. Slow, the nerds don't like what you're doing, they boot you immediately, and just flat out awful.

You lost the battle my friend. Now go back to your basement.

Wow spending over a grand on the 360? Guess I have some spending to do!

360 = $399

Bought one extra controller = $37.99

Online service for one year = $50 (and it's a proven online community, not some half-assed Xbox Live ripoff/wannabe like Sony. Ever stop and think that's why it's free? 'Cause it's half-assed!

6 games (one of them $49.99) = $349

That's it. I don't need a freaking HD-DVD add on cause I don't care about HD-DVD right now. No dumb WiFi cause I have a computer. MS gave us the CHOICE of what we wanted. They didn't force it on us and put a ridiculous $600 price tag on it.

Have fun with your overpriced system that will come to well over a grand just after buying the system, some games, and whatever else garbage needed to make that grill run. Oh and don't forget the small fees you WILL be paying for each game in that "free" online service.

[QUOTE="conceru3"]

[QUOTE="faisalxe"]the 360 version will obviously be downgraded considering the size of gta games fitting on DVD9, this is where blu-ray comes in use. for the people saying that that x360 has 512mb ram, it's shared between the gpu and cpu get it in to ur heads, it doesnt make it superior to the ps3. hell the ps3 one is more superior because of xdr ram.Archx1

Care to explain why Oblivion was not downgraded then ? Or how Mass Effect stunner fits one DVD ???

Also even if CPU in PS3 is slightly more advanced than 360 (which hardly is for games), you can't have far more geometry if your GPU can't render it .... so no use

Fact is ALL games look better on 360,with more ram to fit in, and more overall power to render them, and 3 CPU's that can be programmed as you like, not special funtion only

lol Slightly more advanced? The CPU in the PS3 utterly trounces the 360's especially for games. And no not all games look better on the 360. Read every Oblivion head to head compaison. IGN,1up,Gamespot and gamespy all say the PS3 version clearly looks better.

And no the 360 doesnt have more ram they have the exact same amount the 360's is only unifed. Regardless I dont see why this up for debate the PS3 is clearly a more powerful system no profesional devs even debate this.

 Actually plenty of devs would love to debate that the 360 is more powerful. That's why Sony has lost so many exclusives (that and the 360 is easier to develop on).

Cows you guys have lost. You lost last May. Give up the ghost and hope the PS4 actually comes through.

Also, go back a page and read that GAMESPOT says the 360 version of Oblivion looks better. And it does.

[QUOTE="ChupacabraIII"][QUOTE="Mr_Prezident"][QUOTE="Spartanx23"]

]-[3 will be the single greatest FPS game to come out on any system this generation.

It will be better than Crysis, Resistance, Unreal III, Killzone 2, and any other clone.

The only FPS's worth mentioning are Half Life, HL2, Goldeneye 007, Perfect Dark, Halo, Halo 2, and the upcoming Halo 3.

Games like FEAR, Doom 3, Resistance, and Perfect Dark Zero are only there to pass the time between Halo's.

The Halo franchise raised the bar, and will continue to do so when Halo 3 arrives. Halo 3 will be years ahead of the competition. Half Life and Halo are the true kings right now. Only a blind FPS fan will see it any other way.

Crysis is so overhyped I can't stand it. This game will end up having slightly better looking visuals than Halo 3, but how will its gameplay, features, multiplayer, and fun factor stack up?

The bottom line is that Halo>all.

Mr_Prezident
thats a serious joke lol, halo is for console noobs, CS 1.6 > auto-aim-assist halo crapfest.

Cows fancy themselves hermits :lol:

im no cow, i just love anything thats not M$, i owned all consoles last gen and have a PC, but M$ just makes me sick.

Microsoft (true gaming company) makes you sick yet you owned Xbox (a MICROSOFT console)? Great logic there genius.
