@Karjah @FAIL_RETURNETH It's also very difficult to create a female character model compared to a male model. It's a business thing. Will adding female characters make up for the amount of money/time required to create all new models?
@MiguelitoKache I think it's interesting that you say we're "scared of the future." When you look out and see a company, a console line, that you once loved and enjoyed turn to utter shit, wouldn't you be scared too? This is what we see. An online community of "serious gamers" turned into avatars with silly animations. A gaming console turned into an ESPN box.
So yes. I'd say I'm damn scared of that kind of future.
@cursealoud @arqe It's selling like hotcakes in Japan after the price drop, but for some reason Sony refuses to drop the price elsewhere and actually get a bloody install base.
@GSGuy321 It's a console port to appease the people who whined and made petitions for it to be ported. Chances are it'll be the exact same as the console version.
@Vambran Yes. Absolutely yes. And they're right. But can you blame the customers? Most of them are adults getting stuff for their little kids. They don't know anything about video games or console wars or anything like that. So they look at "Wii U" and say "Oh, that must be like Wii Fit. And HOLY SHIT that's expensive. Yeah, nah, Timmy doesn't need a tablet for his Wii."
I hate EA as much as anybody, but I'm siding with them on this one. Anybody who draws, sculpts, renders, or whatever will tell you that females are MUCH more difficult to make than males. You can't just make a male body and slap tits on it and call it female (unless it's Gears of War).
@alcatraz223 Because Dead Space was supposed to be a horror series, and EA literally took it and said "No, you're too scary. Go become a cover shooter."
I enjoyed DS3 as well, but there's something to be said for destroying everything that a game originally stood for.
