InuYasha, say it ain't so

I guess that most InuYasha fans have, through extensive investments of time and money, already seen the ending of the series long ago.  I am a fan, but in the casual sense.  I get my InuYasha fix straight from adult swim.  Last week, the last episode was aired on adult swim.  I can't believe that after watching this show for 3 or 4 years, InuYasha and his friends not only fail to gather the shikon jewel shards, but they don't even kill Naraku.  These being the ultimate goals that the characters have been seeking since the second episode, I would have to say I was a bit disappointed.  Even more disappointing was the fact that InuYasha had just placed a jewel shard in his sword, and it seemed that through Kagome's love, he had figured out a way to harness his demon powers.

Only in retrospect do I see how dorky all of this must sound.  Hopefully whomever reads this is a fan of the show, or is as dorky as me:wink:
