I have experienced the immaturity and rude behavior. To all of us who have been around a while it is hard for us to remember what it was like hanging out in the basement (or any other secluded place that teen or pre-teens can be themselves) trading insults that would have gotten our mouths washed out or slapped in some cases. Xbox Live has turned into the virtual playground where kids push the limits to test societies do's and dont's. It also puts together people from many different cultures that may never have as much contact unless on XLive. What is appalling in one culture is common in another.

Older gamers- You have to understand you are in the MINORITY. If you are a 26+ you need to understand getting on XLive is like hanging out at the local High, Middle, and Elememtary Schools at the same time. Its always going to be immature.

You also must feel sorry for the ignorant. Some people are fortunate to grow up in a loving home where respect and integrety are core values taught from knee high. Others are lucky to see or have parents. We must be understanding and feel bad for these people.

The solution is:

I. PARENTS! Stop your kids from playing games they shouldn't be playing with or without bad behavior. Get the proper rating on your kids profile. A kid should not be in the UNDERGROUND. Nor should anyone under 16(18 really) should even look at the GTA 4 game box.

II. A. Microsoft has got to be more interactive in kicking these players. Hit them where it hurts, in the wallet. Any racial slurs are immediate bands. A three strike policy with a possible appeal process for someone falsely targeted.

B. Have TWO networks with combined features (private chat, messaging act...). 21 up and 20 and down. Or, two networks where you have to earn the right to play in one via good behavior with no age preference.

III. Everyone complaining better be rating the offensive players. Dont let it slide. If there is an offensive player TAKE THE TIME to quit playing and report the behavior. Turning a blind eye is not as bad, but it is not the solution.

Over all GTA is great. It better be a really long game. It is kinda boring in the beginning. The controls are taking some time. I am so used to playing COD 4. I did get my feet wet online and it was really fun. I just played the basic deathmatch. The map is HUGE!! That is the most notable thing so far.

I have had some freezing. Disconnecting from Xbox Live makes sense. I just love the seamless back and forth from single player to online.
