Well wouldn't Gran Tursimo be considered a racing simulator? You can buy cars, upgrades, paint, and all of that. So I am just wondering what is the closest game to Gran Turismo for PC out now or will be out later.

Is GTR2 better than LFS?(Live For Speed). And what do you guys think about NFS Pro-Street. Although it's not a simulator, does it play well?

In GTR2, are there actual cars you can pick? As in real cars. And upgrades such as body kits, turbos, pistons and stuff like that?

In better words I'm looking for the most similar game to forza and gran turismo. Something in the import tuner scene as well.

Okay, I'm getting the Logitech G25 Gaming wheel in a matter of weeks. I have tried the Live For Speed demo and I don't really like it because you cant really upgrade your cars or pick actual real life cars. I'm into tuning, buying parts, (ex. Racing in tournaments or in careers to gain money for upgrades). I would like a game that's drifting compatible. If anyone could name a few games that are simulators and upgradeable REAL cars it would be appreciated. Oh and I would like the game to be clutch/shifting compatible also.
