On New Years Eve Day (Dec 31, 2006) news came to the family around 1:30 AM, Yes in the morning. That my Grandmother, on mother's side, passed away.

Yes it is sad. The furneal will be on Thursday January 4, 2007. The whole family, including extended will be there.

I am saddened by her passing, but I also remember the GREAT times and memories. While I was an undergraduate having the mother side family Sunday Dinners at her house. Where the whole extended family came together have dinner and have fun and tease family. If you knew that side of my family you would remember the fun. You would have to think fast and throw the fun back fasat. As well as other memories.

That was before she broke her hip 6 yrs ago. Since then her health and mind has gone South fast. She ended up in a living assistant home. Where everything wasn't there anymore. Where she would hardly remember anyone coming, family recongition was gone, and things like that. It was more heart breaking to see her there and like that. Where her body was just a skeleton and the will to live was gone.

I was happy that she left that kind of live behind. She she can be with her husband and a child that died very young. She was the last sibling alive. Of course I am still sad by her passing, but it was better for her. No more suffering.

My grandmother will be remembered by all, even when she died about 90 yrs old.
