I play to enjoy the large gameworld, the story, to see my character progress, and to make friends. I don't care about PvP. If you want to ask why play MMORPGs, you might as well ask why play games in general? Why watch TV? Why do anything fun at all?
In the end, they're all a waste of time that you could be using to do something a lot more productive...like having a second job, working towards another degree, or finding a cure for cancer.

You slowy release the big hitters on the virtual console (Mario 64, Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Harvest Moon) but WHAT about the BIGGEST and the BEST!!! Earthbound was the greatest game, it hands down beats half of these half a$$ed "NEXT GEN" games you see out today. Hell if you can't put it out on the VC then REMAKE it!!!! So I can blow 50 60 bucks on it love it to death then hell maybe you can do us a favor and put the original on the VC just a thought though. Sorry Mel looks like they can take our Earthbound.
BTW I heard that the Wachowski "brothers" wanted to do a Earthbound movie. Calling it a sequel to Bound (Violet going to outer space to have a sex change and coming back as STARMAN) and a prequel to the matrix. Earthbound being the story of Neo when he was a kid.

Theres Just something solid and reassuring about having it on the VC. It is a classic and thats why should be on there. Sure I could gamble on ebay or where ever and try and get a hard copy of it but why waste my time if nintendo can do it for me. All I was saying is that it needs to happen. Nothing bad just it needs to happen. blah blah blah there are billions of people in the world I am sorry a billion people don't have a Wii. So nintendo only have a little less than a billion people to make happy. Even then yes they should strive to make every last one of them happy.

hey i got a great idea, you really want to play earthbound that badly, go out and buy the SNES version. you pweople seem to think that nintendo is going to put every great game on there system, and you people complain about it every week when they game you want is not added, there are billions of people in this world, and nintendo can't make all of them happy. i know if i really wanted to play a game, instead of waiting for the VC version, i would just buy they cart. if you can;t do thatm obiviously you don;t want to play it that badly.ninjavelmor
I don't understand, what the heck is point? Well I know there are a lot of people out there that love it but whatever I don't care what you have to say I know you love it who cares. What I am saying does anyones else see the pointlessness of it all. Its like steroids in Baseball its just a egotistical pissing match.

Who cares that your level 68 Warrior/Mage/Druid/Paladin/Jedi can be some guy in Japans same level 86 blah blah blah. It really has no point. I understand LAN games maybe you and your friends wanted to play across the neighborhood at midnight or you have a friend on vacation and he wants to kill your Mage, but millions of people going at it 24 hours a day. Christ man where does it end. And doesn't anyone else see that it has no end, so all these people will continue to play and continue to pay.
And what really ERKs me is that the next KOTR is going to be Online only. I love KOTR and they had to go and ruin it GREAT.
