Amazing

Consolites, keep dreaming because your lovely consoles pale in comparison to the majesty and magic that is PC gaming. Mods/ better prices/

better graphics/customization/ etc... So keep your paws off of PC gaming as Activision has shown that when you get your way, PC gamers experience a reduction in the quality of their games.

Its the $78 Blu Ray player:

http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/patterson/59971

So much for the 'and its a cheap blu ray player!' argument

Oh Man, you people still don't get it yet. The biggest and best thing about having a Blu-Ray player in the PS3 is not for the stupid blu-ray movies. It's the massive storage space of the disc that game developers can utilize to make massive size games, or G.O.T.Y. edition games including all DLC on one disc. Get it ONE DISC, not 4 or 5 like will soon be needed for the 360, as it is there are already talks that Bethesda could make Elder Scrolls 5 a PS3 exclusive because of the size of the game. So please give it up already there is no logical argument for the 360's behalf, it's stuck using the old DVD 9's and that just isn't enough anymore. Aside from all that other stuff, ya' know the Free online Sony has, the built in Wi-Fi, rechargeable controller, The new 400gb capacity Blu-Ray discs, The upgradeable internal laptop hard drives to above 500gb. The 360's a dinosaur already.

last time I checked out of the 600 games for the 360 only 10 or so use more than one disc, the 360 also has rechargeable controllers and the PS3 uses 25GB discs not 400GB in the real world the PS3 is about the same as the 360 when it comes to power in it's hardware

First of all the currently used blu-ray discs have a 50gb storage capacity, and just announced from Pioneer about two weeks ago was the NEW 400gb Blu-ray, don't believe me Google it yourself...better yet here ya' go. http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/02/pioneer-shows-off-16-layer-400gb-blu-ray-disc-affirms-compatibi/ http://www.psu.com/400GB-Blu-ray-discs-coming-to-PS3-in-2010-News--a0005584-p0.php I rest my case.

[QUOTE="Y2Jfan23"]^ PS3 is 3rd cause it has no games. The closest it has to a system seller is MGS4 and while its a great franchise its not on a Halo or Mario Kart level to move consoles. And once you look past MGS4 there's really nothing to buy a PS3 for. UC2 is the only other game I could see someone buying a PS3 for.

OMG where do these people come from ? are you kidding me ? The PS3 has thee most and best exclusives on the market, shall i name a few ? Uncharted 1 & 2, Resistance 1 & 2, Ratchet & Clank Future 1 & 2, Little Big Planet, MGS-4, Heavenly Sword, MLB The Show 08, Infamous, God of War Series, Warhawk, Heavy Rain, Folklore, Killzone 2, Gran Turismo 5, White Knight Chronicles. Please no one can look at this list and not drool with envy over the PS3's titles.

The fact Sony's console went from first in market share to last makes it a huge failure from a bussiness standpoint.

As far as gaming goes I can't even begin to compare the PS3 to the PS2 or PSX given the same timeframe.

PS3 isn't a failure because of the PC, 360, or Wii its a failure because it failed to live up to the standard set by its predecessors.

nmaharg
Wrong, PS3 is only in 3rd place because of it's original price point of $599.99, and since it had such a high price point to drop from, it's price cuts weren't really effective until most recently when they started offering the current 120gb for $299.99 and the 250gb for $349.99. Even with current PS3 prices at there lowest since release the PS3 remains the highest priced console of the 3, so come the holiday season if you get your average parent looking for video game bargains, of course they'll first approach the cheaper consoles on the market such as the $199.99 Wii or 360, however if any of those parents do so much as an ounce of research they'll discover the truth about each of those lower cost consoles and why the PS3 is the most expensive. Which of course is the Wii having the weakest online service and tons of low rated shovelware or the unreliability of the 360 hardware and such non inclusive things such as wi-fi, rechargeable controllers and $50.00 a year for Live. So it truly is a matter of you get what you pay for, and with PS3, IMO you get the most for your money.

I never understood why some cows think a game just being on a blu-ray disk (being, not taking advantage) is a plus. There been countless times in the past where in multiplat comparisons, some cows list you get a blu-ray disk as a plus even if it doesnt offer any advantage. Pretty werid.

Anyway the series is pretty crap. You should have took that money and put it towards a Bayonetta pre-order.

shutdown_202
You've never played the GOD of WAR series if you say it's crap, and not only isn't it crap but IMO, the GOD of WAR series blows away anything on the 360.

[QUOTE="CaptainQuark69"][QUOTE="SSCyborg"]

Bungie respects their fanbase. Bungie interacts with their fanbase. Bungie has delivered AAA quality with every Halo release. The Call of Duty games on the other hand are just rehashed year after year after year, and with the recent scandals it's quite clear what they think about you, the gamer.

lundy86_4

HALO is a fictional sci-fi universe, CALL of DUTY games are realistic soldiers with realistic weapons put in actual historic or realistic situations.

What does that have to do with anything? Some people like the Sci-Fi genre quite a lot.

However most people prefer realism as opposed to sci-fi, hey i love sci-fi myself but these two games are totally different in genres and control it's hard to compare the two.
