Birthday gift for girlfriend (maybe a good tip)

My girfriend's birthday is coming up, and offcourse I have no idea what so ever what to get her. I thought about flowers, teddy bears, giftcards, underwear, perfume, chocolate and even a computer game (which might have been affected by my own desire to play that game).

I have spent hours thinking of what in the world a girl wants for her 18th birthday. Why can't she just tell me? It's not that hard. It would make it easier for the both of us. I'm off the hook and can just buy whatever she tells me to buy, and the best part is that she can't be dissapointed or let down when she rip's the paper off the box and finds what she asked for.

Another problem is the economic aspect of your girlfriend turning 18. Do you know any 17 year old boys that has unlimited supply of green? Neither do I, and I am certainly not one of them! I have bought her picture frames, weekend trips and even a diamond necklace, but this time I really outdone myself. Later tonight, when she opens the small square box wrapped in silver giftpaper and looks inside, she'll see a 14 k gold, heart shaped locket with "I love you" engraved on the front, and the date we started dating on the back, and if she opens the locket, there is a picture of the two of us inside.

I know, this is all rainbows, flowers and unicorns, but you don't want to know the weight of my wallet right now. We are talking about waiting with college a year or two. But maybe that's not so bad after all. Flipping burgers at McDonalds all day and gaming all night for a year, I could think of worse things to do, like buying a gift for your girlfriends 18th birthday.
