Features added/improved in this DAII: Faster Combat, some graphical improvements. Features that were removed/eroded: Character races, freedom to equip characters (not only the armor for supporting characters, but restrictions on weapon types for all classes that was not present before), dialogue choices, freedom in character builds(advanced classes, weaponry choices etc), travel/map system with random encounters, crafting supported by build. In all: A giant step backwards for the series. Aspects that were changed which annoyed me the most: Goofy art direction (Flemeth is the perfect example, going from being draped in robes to spiky armor), voiced protagonist, fewer moral decisions represented in shades of gray,
