ive had my PC monitor for 4 years now, maybe 3...and the current gfx card for 1 year (7900GT). About 4 months ago my monitor 'broke', it started displaying small lines in areas of the screen that were darker, and after a few days of use the monitor was covered in these lines or artifacts that led to the colours being inverted/changed etc. The screen was pretty much covered in these wee lines, but they didnt prevent me seeing the area of the screen they covetred, they just changed the colour etc so that the screen was a complete mess

anyway today the problem wasnt as bad, and then the lines just disapeared :S i was about to go buy a new monitor aswell...but i couldnt find anything on the net about the problem

anyone know what this is ?
