Oblivion is fantastic. Strangely, I did not like Morrowind, but loved Oblivion.I thought the beginning was quite cool actually, customizing your character step by step, while serving as a good tutorial. Stepping out of the sewers is an AHHHH moment.

For me, the only downside to Oblivion (and it was worse in Morrowind) was that you often feel directionless - it's like you have TOO much to do, and you are tired how expansive it is. I would recommend picking a path (i.e. the Thieves Guild, Fighter's Guild, etc) and sticking to it. In between, you can do the main quest which is fairly linear or pick up some side quests.

One of the best RPGs I have ever played, and I've played alot. But like you, now I am dying for another decent one on the 360 (and I honestly don't know if Blue Dragon is going to be my cup of tea).

I hate how they all come out 4Q - I have been dying waiting for a good title. The Darkness lasted me about a week.

Anyhow, this is a big on my list. Oblivion was epic, and the Fallout series has a ton to build off of. Seems like a match made in heaven. I actually like how they are scaling back the number of NPCs but making them even more real. The combat sounds cool, and the style looks like a dark but semi-comedic mix. All good.

I am sick of Oblivion. In my opinion, it is the most overrated game ever. I bought it the first day it came out for PC, and I was so jacked up to play it. After a while though, I realized it is a glossed over version of a stripped down Morrowind. There is so much less content. Also, the lack of "special" equipment really bothered me. This is just a rant I want to get out there to see reactions.PFFlyers

The reason this kind of annoys is not because you think Oblivion is overrated, but because the two examplesyou site are just flat out wrong. I have some beef with Oblivion (grantedthey are nothingcompared to all of the good things), but lack of unique items (there are TONS) and lack of content (in general, and/or compared to Morrowind) are simply wrong. Therefore I agree thatthis guyeither hasn't playedOblivion or is just trolling.

It can't hurt to close a couple "random gates" for leveling and loot and take about 15-40 mins depending on your style.I actually would just sprint to the top of the tower sometimes- fastjumpy characters with some healing should have no problem doing that if you're just after a sigil stone. They can be a bit tough in the early going though, be warned, and you'll use a fair amount of resources (and time)depending on your character build if you want to kill the enemies along the way.

You will have plenty of opportunity to go in tons of these gates though, so if you are still just at the first couple hours of the game, you might just move along. They seriously pop up everywhere as you progress, and many quests involve going in them (including main quest), so......your call man.

Don;t know for sure man, sorry.  Shivering Isles wa a more official expansion though, the biggest of them all - so maybe it's limited to a single Xbox Live account.  That wouldn't be so weird.

Tough call, good question.  I just wish any one of the 10 games that I want to buy would come out soon, and those are two of them.    I am literally playing Shadowrun out of desperation (sorry, it's just not that tight).
I'll check the reviews, and get both unless one of them gets panned.
