He's uploaded a franchising opportunities video for a mexican fast-food chain in the US called Del Taco.  It's incredibly inspiring and I think I peed a little from all the laughter it caused.

Just wait until you find out what their franchisee training center is called.  You'll break an organ.  It's mucho meshuga.

     So I'm playing Oddworld : Stranger's Wrath...  I'm in the middle of a mission:

    I've already bagged a handful of guards without being detected.  My ammo is full, my health is full and I have a plan of attack to draw out the guards from inside the facility.

 "All I have to do is hide until they drop their guard, then I pick them off one at a time as they leave the base."  I spy what looks like a garden of tall black, suspiciously rusty plants.  "These should be perfect cover!" I thought, "But why are they spattered with blood?...oh well."  Being the cautious soul that I am, I dive right in...to my grisly death.  NOT plants...sharp jagged rusty (and obviously efficient) perimeter defenses.  Lesson learned.

It just occurred to me that my blog was 66% complaining about forum boners.  That's not what I'm about.... Chandler's about da games, yo!

While these are no rare beasts (they're everywhere) they're still a valuable find! EACH one has it's own unique powers! They're kinda like Pokémon. Collect'em if you want, I'll be in the News section if you need me.

I'll get to my point:
    I'm finding a disturbing number of people leaving assinine comments at the bottom of every topic on the site. It could be a new game, a feature (like The Uncanny Valley) or even something as simple as an archived SNES game review.
    
There's always somebody who'd rather flame someone for "being retarded" (which is WAY outdated and crass) than politely discuss the implications of the article.  Sadly those somebodies are a frightening majority.  Want to insult someone?  Pull down their pants at their wedding!  Pie them in the face before a job interview!  Mail them a box of god damn scorpions for all I care...  Just get it off the forum.  Thanks.

    Not worse, but equally annoying are the "Me Too"ers.  First of all, whoever you're responding to likely doesn't care about what sacred bond you share....Secondly, NOBODY else does.  Contribute something relevant or keep it to yourself, please, the forum will be better for it.

    Remember when a forum was a collection of comments from people who knew the facts?  Then the rest of us, when we wanted info, could flip through the pages and see a coherent conversation.  Forum combers, bless their souls, went the way of the dinosaurs when the idiot meteor hit the internet.  Rest In Peace, cool forum guy, may you return and save us all.

Dammit all!  I play through God of War on Hero difficulty (working my way up to God mode)....I play through the whole bloody thing BRILLIANTLY right up until the last blood match before Pandora's box, y'know the one with the moving floors, death wheels, harpies and archers.  I enter the room at half health and zero magic and I realize immediately that I've brought a banana to a bazooka fight and there is NOTHING around to replenish my strength.

I think I tried that battle 40 times and I still couldn't beat it.  The game offered to switch me into easy mode...but I couldn't just give up like that.  Even with God of War's built in "oh, couldn't beat it? here's a little health" mechanics. 

So I broke, I switched into easy mode and immediately liquefied my opponents.  Pandora's box wasn't supposed to feel like a gimme!  What a hollow victory.  And to make matters worse NOW I can't switch back to Hero mode!  I spent the rest of the game with The Sword of Artemis out, cleaving my way through wave after wave of weak monsters.  It was not uncommon for one swing of the blade to yield 6 kills!  Dumbass zombie archers shouldn't stand so close together!

Anyways, I'm pissed because I played the bloody game through on Hero, screwed up ONE fight and now it counts it as if I beat it on EASY...    Oh well....God mode next time and for the love of god, DO NOT ENTER THE ARCHITECT'S TOMB WITHOUT FULL HEALTH AND MAGIC.

So it begins!  I'm always on Gamespot at work so I figured I'd start documenting some of my many game-related musings for all to see.

I'll get things started with a pet peeve of mine.  The forum.  I don't know if they're out there, but I have yet to find a forum on this site that isn't infested with gamers who take advantage of their e-anonymity to prop themselves up and put others down.  It's boring, it's not a good read and the act itself serves only to reinforce negative stereotypes about otherwise awesome people.

If YOU find a decent forum on this site for REAL gamers who are interested in being part of the community, drop me a line and I'll be there in a flash.  Until then, the real folks can visit my profile!  I'll be having features on a regular basis once I get my full membership!
