Ok fine believe what you want. Everything is written in the ME2 forums I know I'm telling the truth. Like I said before I'm not going to argue with you, help if you're going to help otherwise don't bother wasting your time.[QUOTE="ChaosTheory345"][QUOTE="seankane"]
A developer said that New Game+ takes a lot of time and testing, but did they say that this is the REASON it wont be in the game?

I AM helping. And I'm not 'believing' anything. You could be right. I never said you weren't. You just keep trying to declare something as fact when you have shown that its nothing but speculation.
How many times do I have to say it's not speculation? This is the entire dev post if you don't believe me. You'll see that they constantly mention the testing and all that. ----------------------------------- So first off, thank you to everyone who took the time to post in this thread and give me the kind of feedback I was looking for on NG+. A lot of you have been asking where I went; well the short answer is I have been working. We are pushing very hard to hit a major milestone and that has been the focus of my attention. I do apologize for not jumping back in here earlier. I have read through all 30 pages of posts made by everyone here, and to be fair the overwhelming feedback has been in favor of NG+. However the issue of NG+ as a feature is extremely complicated, and it really comes out well in the personal responses people have posted regarding why they want it. Despite posts to the contrary NG+ is not a simple feature; in fact no feature is simple. By itself isolated and alone the feature is not all that complicated. It is the interaction with other systems that makes it difficult. On ME1 the combination of NG+, achievement bonuses, save game issues and story tracking made for a very complex matrix of possibilities that was nightmarish from a testing stand-point. In order to make sure that the game was stable we found late in ME1 development that most of our testing needed to occur not just over 1 but 2 playthroughs. There was a whole class of bugs that only occurred when you were in NG+ mode, and some of them were pretty bad. Anytime a feature is put into the game, no matter how small it creates a ripple of work that impacts the project well out of proportion to how big it is. NG+ is not a huge feature work wise, but it is a massive feature from an impact perspective. Some may disagree, or say I am wrong but I can only state this has been my experience working on Neverwinter, Kotor and ME1. In terms of a general summary of why people enjoy NG+ I would say the majority of you fall into one or more of the following categories: 1. I get to start the game already fulfilling my potential as a war hero or Spectre. I do not need to build my character or find good gear, I can just be a bad %## and punish the enemies in the game for even getting in my face. 2. The combat and leveling up in the game is something I need to experience as a challenge once. I want to use my powerful character to experience the story over and over from different perspectives with a different set of choices. 3. My Shepard is the only Shepard and he is the one I want to take through the game over and over. 4. Starting over at lower levels means I will never get to see all of the conversation options available to me. I will always feel like I missed an opportunity to use my charm and intimidate because I can never start out high enough. In order to make sure I don't miss anything in conversation I am forced to make combat harder for myself. The reasons people have given point to what aspect of ME1 actually provided enjoyment for them. I, personally, am a progressionist and I love combat, so from my perspective building a character from nothing to demi-god is one of the biggest fun factors in our games. I actually have trouble playing games with broken progression or easy combat. I think we would all agree that you need that first playthrough where you scraped and struggled to build your awesome character, if for no other reason that you need a reference point for comparison. I consider the four points above to be problems to be solved. One of the solutions is NG+, however that is not the only solution. However if you pull back and look at the problems as individual issues as opposed to a single feature I think the team has good solutions for the concerns listed above. Ultimately the reason for the post is to make sure I understand what you want out of the game on this topic and address those issues through many of the features we are currently developing. Christina, Casey and I have all talked about this and we think we have solutions which should make most of you happy.
