Purchased a Wii-u along with Mario Kart 8. And, so far, I've had more fun with this than most next-gen consoles. I have experienced no lag online and the visuals look on par with most next-gen titles.

I also bought the original deus ex for 2 bucks on steam. It's a purchase you just can't go wrong with, especially when it's the price of a candy bar. Cheers, summer sale.

@xeno_ghost: I can only assume that you aren't articulate enough to challenge the statement. Well then, just keep calling it "dumb" and "bullshit".

Though you're right, It's a deliberately superfluous blanket statement tailored to my opinion, but I wouldn't call it dumb. Had I said "all video-games have shit stories" then it would be dumb, but, as you can see, I word it like an estimation "most, if not all". This, I feel, redeems it from sounding too much like a sweeping generalisation.

@xeno_ghost: Considering that you popped your Gamespot cherry with that, I can only assume my post angered you enough to warrant creating an account (or sock). It is a pity that you couldn't find an argument to accompany your bitterness and condescension.

I don't play games for a story, I play them for the gameplay. If I wanted a good story with believable characters and a plot that is intriguing, I would be reading a book or watching a movie. Video games with narrative are some of the worst pieces of entertainment in existence.

Apart from Silent Hill 2, I don't believe I've played a video-game which deviates from It's paint-by-numbers genre template. Most, if not all, video-games have dull, derivative and genuinely shit storylines. There is no value in looking to games for story and it's high-time the industry shuts up about it.

It's funny because for the amount of Civilization V I play, rarely will I finish a game. Usually at the beginning of the Atomic era is where my boredom sets in to which I'll start a new game. I'm not alone on this apparently.

For science victories, the best I have found are Korea and Babylon. Though out of the two I'd always choose Babylon; quick great scientists, along with the early one for writing, can put you in front by a wide margin.

Alright , I took an Islamic thought course this semester ,and now that the semester is over , I got a handful of days before the final exam. One the course's main topics was Saint Anselm's proof regarding the existence of God.I believe most of the Christians are already familiar with this ,nevertheless, I'm gonna explain it in here and leave it for discussion.I hope we draw some meaningful result out of it.And hopefully I can use the result in the final exam !

  1. God , according to definition which is accepted by both believers and non-believers ,is an entity greater than which can't possibly be imagined.
  2. An entity that exists only in mind is one thing ,and an entity which exists both in mind and out of it is another thing.
  3. The entity which exists both in mind and out of it is greater than the entity which exists only in mind.
  4. Therefore, God must exist both in mind and out of mind ,because otherwise (i.e. if God existed only in mind) ,another entity could be imagined existing both in mind and out of it , and therefore this entity would be greater than God (3),which contradicts the definition of God stated in 1.

If you think something's wrong with the proof , please elaborate on your reason.I know there will probably be trolls , but disruptive activity will not be tolerated ,and will be flagged on sight.Which of course I hope won't happen.

I've had a good time with Battlefield 4. A very good time. Was never really comfortable with running a Battlefield 4 or 3 on my rig, so to have it on Xbone is more comforting. Currently it's been the most "next gen" experience for me and I continue to return to it. The game lineup is solid so far, I wasn't expecting much at launch and I was right to do so as there have been no surprises. In short: EH.

I usually play all kinds of mario games and I love playing mario kart.. its fun and addictive....

Oh yes, definitely! I was very passionate about Mario Kart DS a couple years back. Used to play it at every chance I got, on trains, buses, planes or during sex. If ever there was a spare moment, I'd open that baby up and twiddle away.

And between you, me and this forum of Nintendo-bashers, I have half a mind to buy a wii-u for Mario Kart 8 alone.

GTA is overrated as hell and not as fun as other games.

Would you mind filling me in on why it's overrated?

Now granted, I have not a single soft spot for open world games as virtually every one I play is a trite copy-pasty, time-wastery, fetch-questin, monotonous fuckface-athon. And though it gave me no epiphanies, Grand Theft Auto IV, V and RDR hooked me longer than most open world games combined. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I buy into the hype of Rockstar. What I don't buy into is the thousands of internet hipsters with counter-active opinions towards everything which is popular, looking to deem it all as objectively overrated for no known reason. So I'll repeat myself, why is it overrated? Seriously, now is your chance! Convince me that I'm wrong for liking Rockstar's work over the majority of Open World games, and prove your statement worthy of the devalued buzz-word "overrated".

Nerdy scientist: *over-the-top science jargon*
Jocky protagonist: "Uhhh, English, please?"

Anyone who has ever laughed at this hack crap should contract syphillis and bleed into their children's cereal.
