Well.... this is going to almost sound like bragging, but I needed to tell someone and I don't have anyone I can actually tell. >_>

So, two nights ago I was at this "sleepover" (basically an excuse for a small group of my friends to stay out as long as they want without being expected to come back), and we walked around town for a while. We got up on the roof of this elementary school and looked at the stars for a while and just generally loitered like hooligans around in the dark. There had been this girl (whose name will not be divulged for reasons of modesty) I was, for lack of a better term, "crushing on" and had been for a long time. We got tired and headed back to my friend's house, where a little while later most everyone fell asleep. Before long all the lights in the house were off, and it was just me and this girl sitting on my friend's bed. About a week before, we had discovered a mutual feeling of attraction, again for lack of a better term, but she had decided we couldn't let it go anywhere because we were friends and blah blah blah all that nonsense. So I hadn't expected that night to go anywhere either. We got to talking and before I knew it she leaned in really close and it was the most amazing night ever.

And, anyways... it's not like it sounds. We didn't... uh... you know. But it was fun and it was still one of the most amazing thing ever. Thanks for reading if you did but I just really needed to write it all out because I don't have a blog or diary or anything like that and it's good to have a record of things like this besides memory.

Wow, I am really getting sick of people (especially in OT) calling everything emo. 99% of them don't even know what emo is, they just love the word, I guess. They are really starting to piss me off.


"Oh, your dog died? You're so emo."

"What do you mean you have a girlfriend?? You must be one of those emos."

"You got in a fist fight? YOU MIGHT AS WELL CHANGE YOUR NAME TO EMO McEMO."


These are all made up examples of course, but you get the idea. It seriously gets annoying. Somebody will probably call me emo for complaining about this.

It hasn't even happened yet and I'm already traumatized. My summer was fun but it seemed like it ended all too abruptly. And I was disappointed I didn't get to tell this girl I like her. I still can, but there's something really fun and uninhibited and free about doing that sort of thing during the summer on one of those warm clear starry nights . . .

Edit: my classes are all pretty easy and the only one I'm a little worried about is English. It's not that I'm not good in English, I just really hate the teacher and I don't really know many people in the class. All in all it wasn't as bad as I expected. It was only the first day though, so all I had to do was sit there and listen to the teachers drone on about curriculum and behavior policies and all that crap. We'll see how it goes from here on out.

Okay so here's what happened. Someone made a thread about who's running for president in 2008, as you'll see in the picture below.



I decided our buddy Chevolutionary would be a better candidate than any of the ass-clowns that will most likely be on the ballot, so I decided I'm voting for him. Without missing a beat, at nearly the exact same time as I was thinking this, Chev decided he was in fact running. It was magical. Some of you may have already seen it in Chev's journal, but I just thought I'd share it again in case anyone didn't.

I've taken this as an omen and decided that in the likely event that I hate all the mainstream party-endorsed candidates, Chev will be my written-in alternative. I suggest you do the same. If he gets enough votes, they might change the law saying you have to have been born in the U.S. to run.

WE CAN DO IT. CHEV IN 08.

ARGH. It makes me mad. And sad. Practically everyone cool is gone. To anyone reading this, I just want to say, don't do anything stupid and get banned. The few of you who are still my friends are the only thing that make OT worthwhile.

In approximately three days. Summer school translation: about 15 more hours of class. By sneaking on the computer in the dead of night (okay, so like 10 pm), I've been on Gamespot more than I thought I would be, so it's been bearable. I have to study a lot for my test this thursday. If I pass I get the rest of the summer off (except that one other book report ) to sleep and screw around and play games and music and WOO I CAN'T WAIT. Well um... yeah.... I'm also in this improv / sketch comedy / variety group and we just performed tonight for the first time and we kicked ass so much and the audience was cracking up and cheering like all hell... so I'm really excited about that because I'm usually really shy and reclusive and such but I think this will help with that a lot... anways.... This has been my most random and pointless journal post yet! Woo!

Okay, my first day of summer has begun, and so far it rocks. I've sat around listening to music and talking with my friends, posting on gamespot and eating a lot of crap. Plus I woke up at 2. This is what it's all about.

Due to a misunderstanding between my parentals and I, I will not be strictly limited in my computer time over the next three weeks, and will therefore be strictly limited in my Gamespot time. I'm sure anyone reading this is now absolutely heartbroken. I don't know how I'm going to make it. I could very well die out there.

This so-called bannage isn't keeping me from the computer so far. I'm too cool for rules/school/drugs.

I can't wait. It gives me a chance to reflect on all the good times and thank all the cool people who have helped make all the hours and days and weeks and months and years I've wasted seem worthwhile in a way. Also I know it sounds stupid and shallow, but ever since I joined Gamespot I've wanted to have the respect that comes with a five digit post count. People listen to you more. It's the truth whether it's admitted or not. Anyways it'll be sometime in the next few days most likely, so keep an eye out for my elite-only mention list.

I keep getting kicked out of UCBs. At this point I'm pretty much stuck with OT. Or maybe it's not that I'm getting kicked out, but that I'm not active enough to be considered a member. That's still crap though. I'm angered.

After downloading the demo and playing for about 45 minutes, I've come to the conclusion that it's vastly overrated. I'm sure the graphics look nice on a good video card, but I guess my lackluster Radeon X300 wasn't doing them justice, because most of the textures looked pretty muddy and blurry. The gameplay in general just felt very unorganized and muddled kind of, and the AI in the single-player bit was less than impressive. There were some cool weapons and vehicles though, so from what I've played it's looking at around an 8.0.
