I hope everyone is well and had a great summer. It's been a while since I last posted anything.
The Good... FF XII & Twilight Princess
Ty got me FF XII for my birthday this year. I have put in almost 100 hours into the game and have been enjoying it immensely. It feels like a MMO merged with FF Tactics. I really like the overall character designs. I like the fact that the characters' magic points replenishes over time and you don't to be conservative when it come to magic usage. The main storyline feels a little short. The majority of the time was spent on hunting marks or doing little sidequests.
Over the last month and a half or so, I have been spending quite some time home with my mother and youngest brother, Leon. As promised by my parents, Leon got Twilight Princess for the GameCube as a belated birthday present. Though he is somewhat compentent in gaming, there were many instances he gets stuck & have absolutely no clue how to go about it other than thinking up inane things to torture the chicken with. I end up helping him with the puzzles in the dungeons, which he always seemed amazed that I am able to figure out. Of course there are equal number of times when even I can't figure it out. But in all, these are nice little sibling bonding moments.
The Bad...
There's not much in terms of bad, maybe except our ancient TV is on its last gasp.
... and the Ugly... new Soul Calibur IV designs
So far most of the designs for the female characters (Sophitia, Cassandra, Taki, and especially Ivy)have been unappealing. It just feels... I guess, tacky is the word. Of the characters I seen, I like that the changes they made for Tira and I like the armor for the new character, Hilde. Of the male characters, I have only seen Sigfried, Mitsuguri, & Voldo. Sigfried and Mitsuguri looked nice, though I think Voldo looks stranger than his usual self. I can really say whether I like it or not.Ihope to see the other characters and hope aforementioned female characters have a betteralternative & unlockable costume.
