Honestly, as much as I love the ps3, I played gears 2 today for about 5 hours... It is the best looking console game I've ever seen. The gameplay is the most polished fun you can have. The textures are incredible. The amount of variety in the levels is incredible.
Playing co-op with my buddy and we were just blown away. If this game (gears 2) does not score 9.5 or even a 10 I will lose alot of respect for video game reviewers in general. No game has matched the intensity of this game.
For those of you that want to label me a videogame pirate, it helps to know people in the industry...
I quit the first time because I sold my accounts for $1,244.80. And I've been playing the game for about 17 months...so = $255...so I made around $900...I quit just before selling accounts became illegal. Now..I'm thinking of going back to play for real...should I...I'm in college...and currently have a 3.7GPA (An Engineering Major)...I have a PS3 and 360...and a full time job... yes or no?-D3MO-
haha why don't I believe you? Oh wait i know, because i just graduated with an engineering degree and i know how much work it was. There is no way you go to school, have a full time job and have time for 2 video game systems. Sorry bro. If you're telling the truth then you are a master at life.
but the fact that you have to come to these boards and ask if its a good idea to play wow again? Come on... hmm lets see, full time job= 8hrs a day. full time school= 6-8 hours a day. So we are at 16 hours in one day (assumption). That leaves you with 8 hours to sleep. Now throw two consoles in the mix- 1-2 hours a day, maybe less. Add WOW, and you're not sleeping... ever.

I have to say you are right. The bottom line is it looks like the PS3 version really had extra dev time to get it up to par to the 360 version. I am sure if they spent as much time on the 360 version as they did on the PS3 version, the 360 version would look noticeably better. 720p and AA compared to 640P and no aa, but a ton of touch up work for the game to look as good as the 360's. Definitely a blow to cows.
Lol. The ps3 version LOOKS BETTER. This has stated by several reviewers. It's not a blow to cows; it's nice to be playing the superior version.
anyone else notice that when the 360 has a game that has a slight visual edge over the ps3 version, GS is quick to jump on it with "the 360 version has better shadows!!" but when everyother professional source on the internet says a multiplat looks better on ps3 GS says "the differences are to little to notice"
World of Warcraft is probably as close to virtual heroin as you can get. It was my favourite game. But i've been clean for almost a year... I really wanna play the expansion though. But I'm not sure if I wanna put another 130days played into that madness...
I find it hard to believe that people actually call HS crappy. The graphics were phenomenal, the story (despite being so short) was pretty cool, and you controlled a hot girl wielding the most intense sword... The use of the sixaxiss was pretty cool too. Overall HS is a crazy hack and slash, with EPIC boss battles (especially the end).
I really enjoy watching these threads get out of control hahah. But I'm just curious (to the 360/ps3 hater) what your reasons are for your wii love? Just wondering
Also, last year the sheep were out in serious force.
With the Wii still being so hot, and then GS gave SMG GoTY.
They were not afraid to attack anyone because they were so sure that the Wii could do no wrong.

Haha. I appreciate the system wars history lesson. But I just started reading these forums in september of 2007. There's really not much else to do on the internet these days... On a side note do you guys feel GS is fairly biased towards 360 games with their reviews? Just wondering

Why would I lie about being new to the forums? In what way would I benefit in doing so?
There are lots of reasons... Perhaps to leave a former reputation or to dodge a ban, but no matter. I don't believe in banning users anyway, as it probably isn't very effective.
I just find it pecular that you would use the word 'cow' and 'lemming' in your first post. I didn't learn the terminology until I was atleast level 5 xD.
No matter... I didn't say for sure that you weren't new. I just said it sounded peculiar.
Its all good. Anyways, like I said in my first post I've been reading these boards a long time, I've just never felt the need to post until now
