On the other hand, I most certainly can make my kids wash the dishes. Because unless I';m seriously abusing them, they are for all practical purposes my PROPERTY. I OWN them. And if I tell them to wash the dishes, you can be damn sure that they're going to end up washing the dishes. Whether or not they choose the easy way or the hard way is up to them.
Wow... You can't OWN human beings.... they belong to themself. I understand that if you tell them to do something, they should, but you don't OWN them. And earlier you said you were going to give your son a practice beating? Wtf is that? Please explain to me your logic of being a bad parent, please because I must be fairly dense in the head.
Anyways... On topic now. I think Corporal Punishment is only appropriate at some times and NEEDS limits. If your child slaps at you, slap them back a bit harder (That doesn't mean knock them into next week). Teach them to respect you as a parent and the rules of the house from when they are younger and they shouldn't be little monsters. There are other ways to deal with punishment when a child is bad too. Take away T.V., Phone (cell phones too), computer, anything fun they like to do. Boredom is an excellent punishment for children nowadays. Beating the **** out of them will not solve anything. The only thing that might do is make them act out of spite, and hate you.
