First Blog, Why do people care?

First off, I was reading through some post on a specific forum, for a multi-platform game that will soon be released. I came across one comment that propelled me to write this blog. This person stated that he would be getting the game on Playstation 3. He then followed it up with stating that the reason for this, is his hatred towards the Xbox 360. This confused me, he stated no reason for disliking it, why should he care? When a person feels anger towards something, say; a person who betrayed them. They can understandably be upset. When a person hates something simply because it is what it is, then it's some type of "ism" word, that I can't think of.

This type of problem has been around for a while, mothers of the 70's hating KISS because they had a different sound. It's everywhere, but in a recreational activity, why the hate? To be frank, it is like using one type of golf club and hating a competing companies clubs for no apparent reason. Sounds pretty silly, no? So what is the point in stating that you don't like something, when it is of no consequence to anyone else. There is none. It's fine that you prefer one thing to another, just don't like it simply because you hate it's alternative. This is also prominent in politics. When asked who she was voting for, my grandmother used to say that she wouldn't vote for someone, until there was nobody to vote against. It's true, many people that I have met, have told me that they choose to side with someone because they don't like the other, and not that they prefer ones policies. Pitiful.

It all comes back to which console you prefer, you, nor I should care very much. In conclusion, Don't hate, have fun and think, "Hey, maybe I shouldn't cast the first stone" or " I should zip my lip and not risk looking like a total DB", because honestly, its getting old.

Possible sequel, Trolls: The slime of message forums.
