My brithday, and the 360 decission.

First off, it's been a while, but hey, I'm still alive. On the 22nd it's my birthday, i'd be 15, i'm qutie excited, as i'll be getting into highschool when school starts. The best part of it (To me at least) is I will be learning guitar, as I've always wanted to learn it. I absolutley love music, and the thought of me being able to play is thrilling.

On a video game note, for summer, i'm kinda stuck. For the month of august, and probably september, I can only get one, of two games, that I really, really am anticipating. First, let me say the games, and the pros and cons.

Soul Calibur IV is the first choice. I've been a fan since Soul Calibur 2, which was an amazing, and excellent fighting game. Soul Calibur 3 was very, very addicting as well. So needless to say, to hear that they all return, with more characters, is a god-send to me. The Create-a-soul feature is so intriguing to me, i'm sure i'd use it so much. I'm pumped for the game, fighting games are in my top 5 favorite games.

Of course, you'd think "It's obvious, get SC4" it's not so obvious. The next choice is Tales of Vesperia. Now I only recently got into the Tales of series, but I can safetly say they are amoung the best RPG's i've ever played, only FF, and KOTOR can match them, really. Tales of Symphonia is probably my new favorite Gamecube game, and from what i've played of Tales of the Abyss, it's an amazing series. The combat is fast, and furious, and the storylines are gripping, well told, and sometimes even confusing (I don't care what you RPG/Tales of haters say. ToS has an awesome story) Tales of Vesperia, looks like all that and more. The demo has gotten me pumped. RPG games are my absolute favorite type of gaming. But compelled with Soul Calibur 4, which is a series I have known longer, it's a hard choice for me. ToV will be a long journey, but one that is beatable, and I may just leave it, after playing through 2-3 times. Soul Calibur, seems to be somthing I can enjoy for the long run. It's a difficult decision, on what to get first. Any input is welcome.

Summer has begun! And the bomb-shell of VG stores!

So. I'm out of school now, I got a whole summer before highschool (Grade 10) so... yeah, I'm going to have fun. Gaming and friends gallore!

So i've been dragged in the whole GTA hype-mobile... GTA 4 is still awesome, but I have mixed feelings on the hand-held ones. Whatever the case, i'll review them once i've gotten through them a bit more... Now, for the big thing-o-the-day:

I have found the holy grail of stores to buy games. Mostly retro, but they do have Xbox games. They have all the way down to the original nintendo, and work up from there. There are HUNDREDS of games, I'm most interesting in the genesis, and DC ones, but nevertheless, it's a bomb. They have a few Genesis titles, i've actually been looking for, for a good while now (Jurasic park, of the top of my head is one) not to mention, Dreamcast games, are

I return fro mthe grave, Again!

Well. I'm back again folks. A few more things to speak of:

Got a PSP recently, and Crisis Core. I'm really liking it, I finished Crisis Core, and it was an amazing game. I'll post a review as soon as I can, but you really got to play it, the story is top notch, and I even cried at the end, though, by playing FF7: I knew the ending.

Anyways. Enjyoing GTA 4 still. I play Brawl, Budokai Tenkaichi 2, and Naruto Ultimate ninja 3, when my friend comes over. Life is good. Expect more reviews from me, such as the GTA games on the PSP!

Ahhh, I'm back!

Yeah, it's been a long while. But hey, update time!

I've been playing a good bit of guitar hero 3 lately, and I can play nearly any song (With the exception of TDWDTG, and TTFATF, and a decent number of really hard songs) on expert, so I'm happy.

My bro picked up GTA4, and I wouldin't rate it a perfect 10, but it's not a bad game at all, it's quite fun. Along with that, i've been playing Jump! Ultimate Stars. And well... Look at my review if you want to know what I think of it.

It's been awhile

Xbox 360, and Rock Band

I will no longer be getting a Wii, but insted, and Xbox 360. I'm going to be getting it tomarrow, or Saturday, coming with Marvel Ultimate alliance, and Forza Motorsport 2. Some games i'm hoping to buy? Guiter hero 3, Sonic The Hedgehog, Eternal Sonata, Assassins Creed, Mass Effect, Halo 3, and more... If you want to suggest a game, let me know!

I'm skeptical about Rock Band. Sure, it's a good game, but i've seen it and it looks pathetic on EXPERT level. I want to be able to do some hardcore fun guitar, not boring, repetitive, and plain bad choices of music... Yet my bro encourgaes me to get it, your thoughts are welcome!

The PS2, Wii, and more

Hey, i'm alive still... Just haven't updated in a long time. So i've done a temporary swap of systems with my friend, borrowing his PS2, with alot of games... I've mainly played Guitar hero, Soul calibur, and some Harvest moon:AWL:SE. It's pretty awesome, but the main thing is Soul calibur 3. Theres just so much to do in the game, create characters (I've made characters like Cloud, Tifa, Lyn, Sephiroth, and even Gandalf!) that look like their counterparts, and unlock weapons, a Chronicles of the sword mode... It's just so awesome.

So i've been saving for a Wii, and excited about getting it, sometime (Early 2008 probably). I'll probably get Sonic and the secret rings, Brawl,Super MarioGalaxy, Naruto Clash of ninja: Revolution, and possibly RE:UC. Looking forward to it, alot...

On a side not, Unsung is an awesome song.

Music, and gaming.

So I find myself listening to more and more heavy rock bands lately. Namely, Dragonforce. Anyone who has not heard them, needs to, they are epic and amazing and their music is great. I've also been pwning at Halo, expecially when Buckethead's 'Jordan' is on. And just to mention, Buckethead is like my hero, he's so bad ass.

My little brother got Digimon world 4 recently, so i've been playing that alot, should add to my current playing. And i'm still pwning at Halo. Anyways...

Excited for FFT war of the lions. I wish I had a PSP for it, the dark knight and onion knight alone is worth the price of admission. I just MIGHT get a PSP for it someday, if it's that good, but the slowdown problem bugs me, if it's fixed i'll be ok, but if it's not entirely, i'll have second thoughts on my last comment. I'm still sticking with the PSX version, which by the way, is 10 years old =) booyah. And I stil ldon't remember when it came out back in 1997... Must've been to young.

It's over.

Well here we are, for many gamers, who have already beaten Halo 3, the series is done. They finished the fight. It's sadening in some ways, because the Halo series is quite possibly the greatest FPS games of all time, in my opinion at least. Anyways I have yet to paly Halo 3, but i'm excited when I get the chance, I wasen't totally part of the massive hype, but I know it was deserved.

While you lucky guys get to play Halo 3 though, i'm content with my own Halo 1 and 2, I still have yet to beat it on every mode, but i'm getting closer. Heroic is brutal... Expecially on Halo 2, but I have managed to beat some levels with it, but legendary is going to be hell...

Anyways I'm getting excited for Final Fantasy Tactics PSP war of the lions, I might even buy a PSP for it, because if it's what I think, it's a better, portable FFT, and that is worth a PSP alone. But if Tactics can get any better, then that means it challenges FF7 for best game of all time rank, but it's already on my top Stratagy list. On that note, I'm still stuck at Altima on my SCC Geo challenge

First blog, A Final Fantasy talk

Hey folks, ClodStrofe here (You can call me Nova if you want) for my first blog on Gamespot. So yeah... uh whereshould I start?

I find myself playing Final Fantasy Tactics again, and everytime I play it, I realise that it's an amazing game that re-defined startagy RPG games. I remember when I first played it, when I beat it I thought it was to easy. But that was probally because I was using Orlandu all the time. It wasen't until I lernt of Straight Character Challenges (SCC for short) that made me appreciate the stratagy of this game, and it's awesomeness. Basicly, SCC challenge is you have Ramza, and 4 other guys, that MUST be one class, and ONLY using skills in that class. It really makes you think about the way you play the game, and think of stratgies. I know for me I got stuck many times, clocking over 50 resets at two battles. And thats just Geomancer, sure it's not the hardest, but it's not easy, it's kinda in the middle.

Anyways, from now on in my blogs i'll be posting my progress in SCC's for FFT, among other games.Current progress with my Geomancers, Altima, final battle. I'll have to come up with somthing, as the demons shred me to bits. Altima attackign me and running around with teleport 2 isin't helping either.
