That posting you said I just copied and pasted was my own response to another posting. I then decided to start a new thread so that people may be informed. If you don't trust what I say because I only have two postings at least I have something of substance to say when I do post.

I just spoke with a rep from Microsoft. I initially asked him what chipset was on the mobo which comes with the 60GB harddrive set. I asked him if it came with the Jasper chipset. He told me it was a mixture of Falcon and Jasper models. I then asked him how I could be sure that I would be purchasing a Jasper model ? I asked him if he could give me a model/serial number I can check it against. I told him that when you purchase a car you just don't tell the dealer I want a Honda and take whatever he gives you. If I ask for a V6 or a V4 I better be assured that it is one. The rep, after going back and looking up more info told me that the Jasper has not been released and won't be until sometime around Thanksgiving. So the 60GB promotional comes with a Falcon.

I spoke with another rep from Microsoft and he straight out told me that the 60GB models that are currently being promoted have the Falcon chipset not the Jasper chipset. He doesn't know when the Jasper will be out. He said that usually Microsoft agents are notified a couple of days before they do actually come out, but as of this moment they haven't. I won't go into detail at some of the answers some agents gave me because it's really comical. I asked one agent what chipset was on the motherboard and he responded "Chips ? they don't have chips, they have a harddrive that's all you need ..". When you talk to them be persistent and and don't just accept any answer they spit out. You as the consumer have a right to know what you are purchasing ... yes even from Microsoft !!

Also look up Ben Heck's XBOX360 web page. He actually went in which confirms what Microsoft told me.
