With all the little icons they have, you'd think they could have at least 1 ThunderCat! I changed mine from the Stargate earth symbol to Stitch. Mainly because I think Stitch is cute and I loved the original movie. The tv cartoon is okay and I didn't see any of the sequel films. But Stitch rocks. I would, however, rather have a ThunderCat. I find the selection of icons to be somewhat lacking as it is and there's no way to link to your own if you wanted to.
I also wish there was some rhyme or reason to the level icons. Like right now I'm at level 14 which is "Autobot." Which, as I recall, comes from Transformers. I don't recall all the previoius icons, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. I do remember the Regal Beagle icon was a dart board. How is a dart board related to a Regal Beagle? How about a picture of a beagle?
So I'm just in the mood to gripe at the moment. I had a long and tiring day.
I bought the season 1, volume 1 box set of He-Man over the weekend. I remember liking it as a kid. I think I wasted my money. It's not nearly as good as I remember. Maybe She-Ra's better. I remember being given She-Ra toys as a kid, my favorite being a sword I could hold which glowed in the dark. But He-Man isn't like ThunderCats. I can still watch ThunderCats and totally love the show.
There are other cartoons I would like to see on DVD from the 80's. SilverHawks being a big one. It was done by the same people who did ThunderCats and I know they had some of the same voice actors including Larry Kenney (Lion-O) and Peter Newman (Tygra). I'd love to see the Rainbow Brite cartoons, however, there were so few of them. I thought there were more, but when you're a kid I guess you don't notice those things. Maybe if they had a hodgepodge DVD set of several 80's cartoons that had only a few episode each. That could be cool.
Other cartoons I grew up watching are Shirt Tails, Monchichi's, Get-a-Long Gang, The Real Ghostbusters, My Little Pony (which had several versions as I recall), The Littles, Leo the Lion, Care Bears, to name a few. Although ThunderCats was and is my ultimate favorite cartoon, so I'm happy it's out on DVD. The 80's really were the best decade for cartoons. I can't stand the cartoons they're making today. Not only do so many of them lack animation quality, the scripts are annoying. I don't like South Park or Spongebob.
I also liked Transformers as a kid. I saw that they have DVD sets but I wasn't sure if they were the original or the newer cartoons. I guess I'm also afraid they'd turn out like He-Man and I'd find I don't like them as much anymore.
