ummm doesn't that say more about the dev team than anything else, fallout3/oblivion each 1 disc and easily 2 of the biggest games this gen. tekken6 recycled fighting sim oh we're having trouble fitting it all on one disc? thats just doesn't make sense.sonny2dap

I can see many people are not comprehending or reading the link at all. It's not just the size or data rate, it's a better fighting engine, all of which the 360 can't handle:

"Tekken 6's graphics engine was developed for a high frame rate to create fluid motion rather than focusing purely on extravagant still shots," Harada said. "Using a 'fulltime adjustableanimationblur' which adjusts to each character's movement and speed, these games show a new level of smooth and dynamic movement. This technology has proved very difficult to realise with fighting games running at 60fps."

So, is it the dev teams fault for creating something better/more advance?...ummm I think not.

Ok, back to trashing the Tekken series and the dev team now I guess...

It's as simple as many of the games I have been playing for the last 15 years do not end up on the PC. As soon as I plug a controller into my PC I always feel like I would rather be out on my couch playing the game on my 46 LCD HDTV Samsung. Case and point, FFXI. I had both versions (PC and PS2) and I ended up playing the PS2 version 75% of the time. The PC version was WAY better graphically and faster to load but I loved my PS2 logitech keyboard, my couch, and my big screen TV. I really only played the PC version when the living room was being used.

Besides, many games do not work as well on the PC like sports, racing, fighting, and music games. These are more suited for consoles with specific controls.

I still do have to say on the other hand, X-Com: UFO Defense ftw!

Wow, just when many people think paying $60 for a game was a lot, now we find out that games are "dumbed down" because of a trash system. I thought the 360 was a next gen system? As a PS3 owner I would like to get my full $60 worth please!

Yup, my GTA froze right after the very first driving mission when the game was set to auto-save and load. I have the 60GB model. The game also skips randomly in cut-scenes.

On another note, this game is good but not a 10. The graphics are not that great (but obviously better than the previous ones), it does not introduce anything new, and has obvious glitches and collision detection problems (my character body parts disappear in walls, fridges, etc...).

I have had Wii since launch and only found a couple games to be good.  I am getting Mario Party 8 tomorrow and that might be the last straw for me and the Wii (one of the only games my wife will play).  Mario Party hasn't been good since 4.  Maybe it's my age, but I can't see playing Wii games in the near future that look like Prince of Persia.  Even Zelda looked pretty bad on my Samsung 1080p even with the component cable.  If you have an HDTV and use it to watch Hi def movies or watch Hi def tv a lot, I wouldn't suggest a Wii.

It's not just the graphics for me though.  I have lost the thrill of the controller after a short period of time.  Playing through Zelda and trying other games like Wario Ware, Madden, Prince of Persia (Wii Sports of course), it's just not fun anymore and that's what matters most.  Also, the VC games are overpriced IMO and who knows when the really good ones (RPG's for me) will come out...

Oh man, thanks a lot!  I went there and it was set to "Automatic" so I set it to "off" and now it works.  It might have something to do with my HDTV displaying 60Hz.  Thanks again!

Ever since I downloaded the new 1.80 update I can't get Blu-ray movies to work.  Everything else works fine like PS3 games, DVD movies, and even everything I downloaded (games, trailers etc...).  I have a Samsung 1080p LCD with my PS3 connected through HDMI.  I have an optical cable for the audio to my receiver.

Everytime I put in a Blu-ray movie (I have tried several) I hear the audio (through my receiver) but my HDTV will not find a signal.  The wierd thing is I have tried connecting my PS3 with Component to my HDTV and the Blu-ray movies work fine.  It seems the new patch is causing issues with Blu-ray HDMI playback...any ideas?   I have tried resetting the factory default settings and it did not fix the problem.

Xplay gives the majority of there games a 3 out of 5 so that's what it will get.  I wouldn't consider xplay a reliable rating source because the show is mostly for entertainment purposes anyways...stupid skits...

I got my Wii the day of launch because I stood in line for 4 hours for a preorder at EBgames.  I am disappointed with a few things:

1. Lack of HD and digital audio support

2. The Virtual Console games in general (Price, paying tax to buy points, lack of good games out now, how the Wii creates a whole separate channel for each game instead of separating them by console like Sega, NES, ect...)

3. The sensor (I have a 46" 1080p HD TV up on a wall and my couches are about 8-10 feet away I can not play accurate from there the cursor shakes around the edges of the screen a lot,  I looked in the manual and it says to stand 3-5 feet preferably if I remember correctly)

4. Lack of 3rd party support/games in general (Everyday I am hearing about companies only making the big franchise games (Unreal) on PS3 and Xbox 360 because the Wii's hardware is not up to par, the Wii seems to be following the Gamecube as of now)
