Armed Assault 2's Ai I would argue is the "smartest" AI out there. For all its "flaws" that people seem to notice - that is because they are not scripted. Not being scripted is a key aspect to Arma2's AI which forces them to "decide" to take action. The AI in games like Call of Duty ISNT smart AT ALL.. all those are are just a bunch of animations strung up together to look realistic.
