Come on guys, don't fall for this. Kojima talking about how it's so "Taboo" that it might be hard to release is just a ploy to drum up more interest. Pretty ridiculous considering MGS has always been a franchise that didn't need outrageous hyperbole to sell copies. This is just sad...

Outsourcing the PC port doesn't really inspire much confidence in me. But whereas DMC will always be a console game for me, I'm not to worried about it.

Great news. Still one of my top 5 fave games on the PS2. HD & trophy support means I'll just be playing through it again. Thanks Cap!

Well, I think true gamers should always keep an open mind. I'm all for anything that makes gaming more exciting, interactive & cutting-edge. I'm totally against outrageous hyperbole, fanboyism & consumers who refuse to do their homework.

Like I said though, if I play it & find that it really adds something to the gaming experience then I will def get on board. Just because it doesn't look like anything special to me now doesn't mean that I don't reserve the right to change my mind in the future ;)

Honestly then, not even a new Zelda game cuts it for me anymore. I swear, we have been basically playing the same Zelda game over & over for the past 12 years or so. I'd much rather play OoT again.

Reboot some awesome games that never got franchised, (like Jet Force Gemini for example), and that would get me excited.

Again, I'm all for creativity. But only to the point that it somehow enchances the experience, not hinders it.

And saying that these peripherals are tempermental but we should be OK with that because it's fledgling technology is a bit of a cop-out. Consumers need to stop paying for Beta products that haven't been thouroughly tested, it simply gives these companies the license to continue releasing products that do not work properly. These game companies LOVE to hype the living crap out of their new tech and gamers are lucky if they end up getting even half of what was promised.

And I just don't see how having a second smaller screen in the WiiU gamepad in any way enhances my playing experience. At this point, it simply falls into the "another crappy gimmick" category, even if it does actually work properly.

Now I know a few people who are preordering the WiiU so if I play it with them & it amazes me, I'll get all over it. But I'm not holding my breath.

And what about those of us who gave the Wii a chance with it's new controller only to find that for the most part it was completely janky & didn't in the slightest way enhance the experience? I'm all for "new ideas" & "new ways to game" but for the most part, all that has ever meant in the gaming industry is yet another crappy gimmick. It's no different with the Kinect which is basically a broken piece of crap or the PS3 Move which is just a wii-waggle with a giant scoop of neon ice cream on top. While innovation is good, not all innovations are good, if you know what I mean.
